There were no NBA Finals last night and a lot of repeats. Fox was the main exception: Running 8-10 PM, So You Think You Can Dance (2.4/7) slipped 4% from last week. However, the show’s new St. Louis auditions episode still won the night in adults 18-49 and total viewers. ABC had a primetime of repeats with the exception of its new struggling singing series Duets (1.2/3), which was flat with last Thursday’s show. Pulling in 3.93 million viewers, Duets tied its lowest rating since its May 24 premiere. Fox won the night in the demo and total viewers (6.49 million).

CBS kicked off the night on a high before heading into Criminal Minds (1.3/4) and CSI (1.3/4) repeats. At 8 PM, the CBS reality series Dogs In The City (1.1/4) was up 22% from last week’s 0.9/3. The series, which debuted May 30, drew 5.59 million total viewers. NBC aired all repeats.

Anyone have the ratings for the new Dallas?
Besides the country singer (sorry I forgot her name), the other three judges on Duets are boring.
@7million viewers and a 2 in 18-49 making it it the highest opening this year in cable
I don’t know how many people viewed Dallas, but I for one was very discouraged, the look did not spell money, set and wardrobe were medocker at best, the acting was ?. Maybe they shoud turn it in to a day time soap, LOL.
ABC will interpret Duets tying its lowest rating as good…they will think the bleeding has stopped. ABC is wrong…the bleeding may have stopped, but the patient is already terminal.
Watched Dogs in the City last night — loved it. Will be watching.
I for one am warming up to Dogs in the City. The dog guy has a good sense of how to deal with the owners. Enjoying the way the show is set up, a very pleasant hour . Maybe something I would more expect on cable but thats not the shows fault.
I watched the opening episode of Dogs and was unimpressed. He didn’t have any more insight than your average “dog trainer” you find in the yellow pages. And, a few of his views were a bit questionable.
In contrast, I recently saw a Dog Whisperer episode and it was vastly noticeable how much more depth and insight Cesar Millan had in dealing with dog psychology and behavior.
I’m not trying to put this guy down, but I saw nothing unique that said, “This guy needs his own show. He blew me away with his knowledge.”
If you really want to learn watch Cesar.
It probably still won’t be enough to save DOGS on CBS from the cancellation block. As for Duets, ABC continues their trend of producing poor reality shows and knock-offs of other shows and the ratings are demonstrating just that.
Sounds like a great night for some of the primetime shows I view. I never have to pick and choose my shows since I upgraded to the Hopper. It records all my primetime content for me to check out at a later time. So You Think You Can Dance happens to be a show I wouldn’t have ever watched if my coworker at Dish had mentioned it. Now for the past few weeks I’ve watched this show commercial free. This is part of my Auto Hop feature where I have the chance a day after my primetime shows record, and then I can skip the commercials or watch them. Since most of the shows I watch are recorded off primetime anytime this will work perfect for me. I get more enjoyment not having to watch commercials every ten minutes and I save battery life in my remote too.
I personally find some of the judges on So You Think You Can Dance very vulgar and crude. I for one will not be watching the show in the future. and will encourage my family and friends not to watch the show….Thank you for allowing me to vent…..
