Keith Merryman and David A. Newman have been hired to pen the sequel to their box office hit Think Like A Man, which Screen Gems opened No. 1 at the domestic box office in April and has grossed $91+M overall to date. Will Packer will produce via his Rainforest Films banner. Steve Harvey, on whose book Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man the original film is based, will serve as executive producer alongside Rushion McDonald and Rob Hardy. Merryman and Newman, who also penned the Justin Timberlake-Mila Kunis movie Friends With Benefits, are repped by APA and Circle of Confusion.

Is anyone shocked? Don’t answer that….
Anyway the movie was a hit at the box office and it deserves a sequel.
GREAT NEWS!! Im not a fan of Sony but at least they seen to be the only studio in town catering to the urban audience
NICE!!!
Everyone was so busy freaking out over Hunger Gaymes they forgot to note the box office success of this movie (and the budget to b.o. ratio). Good on screen gems. And bad on the Hollywood assholes who need to ensure global box office and won’t do urban. Aka black.
Nothing here about whether TIm Story will be back, but maybe that’s contingent on the new script. He did an amazing job.
Think Like a Man fared well for a rom-com, and it actually wasn’t as bad as I thought it’d be. I’d watch the sequel.
