this looks retarded.
Why not remake Gone with the Wind, the Godfather and Star Wars while we are at it?
I like how GONE WITH THE WIND, STAR WARS and THE GODFATHER are on par with the original TOTAL RECALL. That’s genius…
So you’re comparing the original Total Recall to Gone With The Wind, The Godfather, and Star Wars? Wow.
tbh I think Total Recall was better than all of those movies…GWTW is a chick flick bore, Godfather is overrated, and Star Wars has since been retroactively ruined by Lucas
GET YOUR ASS TO MARS!
I can imagine remaking it for you wholesale.
Nice reference
It looks like he gets an implanted memory of being in a black-and-white version of THE PHANTOM MENACE.
Looking good.
good? this is an embarrassment. Hollywood is so void of courage or ideas that they can’t even improve upon the dialogue in what was a great genre movie 22 years ago… let alone come up with or get behind new ideas.
They’ve taken a quirky Verhoeven genre movie (itself based on a short story, not new material) and reinvented it as a mainstream Hollywood blockbuster… by the looks of it, very very effectively. Why complain?
This.
Hollywood will soon be making Harry Potter remakes.
It’s not fresh for the 30+ crowd and I dont think it will be anywhere near as good as the Arnold original BUT, for what it is, this looks pretty cool.
The first trailer was much better than this one. That said, I’m still NOT excited about this. Nothing about it looks fun or cool. They even copied some of the same dialogue except it doesn’t sound cool cause it ain’t Arnold saying it.
I liked it the first time I saw it. No need to see a copy.
i love the old one but if you take it out of the equation, this looks pretty cool. the new shanghai angle is interesting. i’m pleasantly surprised and looking forward to this.
So this is a straight-up reproduction a la GVS’s Psycho? Wow, talk about lazy — when remakes become reproductions, things are really souring.
Won’t be seeing this.
another movie for the dumpster.
It’s bad mutha-fuckin’ ass! Can’t wait to see it.
Honestly, I wanted to like this. But Schwarzanegger version seems so much funner. More colorful. Just a better ride.
SEE YOU AT THE PARTY RICHTAH!
They don’t even go to Mars in this remake. Lame!
