Summit Entertainment’s 24-hour-old debut of the new teaser trailer for the last of this annoyingly anticipated Twilight Saga films, Breaking Dawn Part 2 which releases November 16th, is already breaking records. It debuted exclusively on Yahoo and received 7 million views within the first day, the most ever for a trailer viewed on Yahoo. The previous record-holder on Yahoo was the Twilight Saga’s Breaking Dawn Part 1.

Whoa!! That’s amazing. I love how angry some people get about how successful this franchise is. It tickles me no end!
THANK GOD this is the last film! If they reboot the franchise, make sure they hire decent actors and make GOOD films.
It’s not the actors or the directors, it’s the actual source material. Obviously, none of them are fantastic (Lautner clearly is this worst), but even a decent actor or actress could not do anything with those lines and the plot. Perhaps it could be a tad better with better actors and actresses, but re-casting would not suddenly make it a great film.

It won’t beat The Avengers or break any b.o. records just because the fans view the trailer. I predict front loaded opener and around 300 mil domestic. THE TWILIGHT SAGA earns most of its gross outside of the United States.

Yes, it definitely skews something like 25 percent domestic/75 percent international. It does crazy well overseas. The last few Twilight films have made around $700 mil worldwide. I wouldn’t be surprised if this one made $800 mil worldwide, considering it’s the last one in the series.

In some ways it’s really not the end of Twilight with the release of BD2. There’s another HUGE Twilight related franchise on the horizon. It’s a spin-off in the form of a hugely successful Twilight fan-fiction story, “Fifty Shades of Grey.”

The TV networks should just give up and program reruns on November 16th and 17th because “Breaking Dawn Part 2″ could be an all-time opening-weekend box-office champ and greatly reduce normal TV viewing levels for a weekend.

Umm the Hunger Games got the money faster than the twilight films did, look it up. Plus who cares twilight is over after this one and Hunger Games is just going to come and and take over. 1. Because it’s a better story line 2. Because it doesn’t just focus all on a love triangle, you actually watch some action and their struggle living in that horrible country.
