EXCLUSIVE: Warner Bros has acquired Temple Of Heaven, an action adventure project hatched from an idea by former Disney exec-turned producers Jason Reed and Michael Andreen. The studio has hired Chad St. John to flesh out the idea into an outline and I expect he’ll then write the script.

The film takes aspects of Chinese mythology and weaves it into a an action adventure. The studio wasn’t saying too much more about the project. St. John scripted Motor City, the Albert Hughes-directed revenge thriller that is being funded by Emmett/Furla Films and stars Gerard Butler, Gary Oldman and Amber Heard. He also scripted Spy Hunter, an adaptation of the vidgame for Warner Bros. CAA reps the scribe.
