EXCLUSIVE: Anna Faris and Jackie Earle Haley have signed with WME, following their agent Warren Zavala, who left CAA last Sunday. That brings the majority of Zavala’s client list over with him. Faris, who just starred with Sacha Baron Cohen in The Dictator, and Haley, who just starred in Dark Shadows, join Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Paul Dano, Johnny Galecki, Amber Heard, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Lizzy Caplan, Adam Scott, Shiloh Fernandez, Kelli Garner and David Giuntoli, who also made the move.

This was a big time get for WME. I honestly wonder how involed Aloni was in all of this? I wonder what’s going on at CAA which is resulting in all of these agents leaving or being fired. Anyone know anything?
The deal was worth it just for Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who is blowing up as a serious movie star. Future Oscar winner Paul Dano and the rest of the talent that went with him was just the bonus.

If you sign with an agency you’re signing with the firm, correct? Not an individual agent. So how then does someone just decide to leave? Are there no signed contracts for these folks or is it just a courtesy?
Nope, you are signing with an agent. Agents pretend they are ‘firm first’ and they put a team together to make you feel special. But in reality, all agents compete against each other. Dear actor x, beware of their agenda, it always trumps yours. My suggestion is to get an agent to negotiate your contracts – but get a great manager to negotiate what is best for your career.

My goodness, what the hell, happened to Anna Faris’ face ? All that plastic surgery makes her look worst than Joan Rivers. And, sadly, her agent hasn’t helped her secure great acting gigs.
I like Faris and Haley, and a couple of the others are attractive, but I wouldn’t pay to see any of them on their own, and isn’t that what a movie star is: someone you’d pay to see?
