EXCLUSIVE: Ray Lewis of the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens has signed with WME. The Super Bowl XXXV MVP will be repped by the agency for all off-field opportunities including public appearances, speaking engagements, TV, film and books. Lewis will continue to be repped by David Dunn of Athletes First for on-field opportunities. This marks the latest in a series of high-profile sports signings by WME. Tim Tebow, now of the New York Jets, signed with the agency in late February, and the next month it inked retired linebacker and former Dancing With The Stars contestant Jason Taylor. Dwight Howard of the NBA’s Orlando Magic also signed with the agency in March.
Deadline's Dominic Patten - tip him here.

Why?
He’s by no means washed up, but he’s within two years of retirement. Are they planning to franchise him with a network, or maybe trying to network him into the front office of another organization?
He will for sure have a career on an NFL pregame show.
“Expendables 3″ introducing Ray Lewis.
They will kill for him
Is this supposed to be funny? Because it most excruciatingly is not. Not even remotely.
So much for Ari’s umbrage at Mel Gibson for being an anti-semite. Apparently it’s okay to sign outright criminals.
Outright criminal? You must be full of self-hatred.
Ask Jacinth Baker and Richard Lollar how they feel about WME signing Ray Lewis, oh wait you can’t… because they were stabbed to death.
The lure of potential money must truly assuage the conscience of Ari, right?
Right.
You self-righteous puke. What have you given to society? I am sure you have never broken any rules or laws, and have been a saint all your life. Ray Lewis never killed anyone. Take your sarcastic little “point” and stick it up your ass.
Lorne Michaels will not let Ray Lewis nowhere near the SNL stage.
Self-righteous puke, huh?
It’s so hilarious how tough some folks get when they are hiding behind the anonymity of their keyboard, and will say so much more than they EVER would have the nerve to say face-to-face.
For the record I am very far from perfect, but I also have never had to dispose of bloody clothing, lie to the Police, testify against former friends to save myself from jail, and then pay for the defense of those same people who “supposedly” murdered two men.
All in all, Ray-Ray sounds like an upstanding individual with of high moral character(laughs), but even if he isn’t he’ll have plenty of sycophants to continue to make excuses for him… just like yourself.
Hey, maybe you can forward your stalwart defense of Lewis to Ari, and he can mail you an oatmeal cookie for being such a good boy!
And yes, I would have said all the above to you in person and been glad to do it.
Cheers.
Hilarious all the film people up in arms about ole Ray Ray and people joking about his shady past. Yea he got away with something.
