FX‘s Charlie Sheen comedy Anger Management in its fourth week managed to stem its ratings slide the previous two weeks from its impressive dual-episode debut. Last night’s episode delivered 2.65 million total viewers, an increase of 9% over week 3′s 2.42 million. In the key 18-49 demo Episode 5 posted a 13% increase to 1.42 million over the previous week’s 1.25 million. Anger Management posted week-to-week growth across the board, with Top 5 time period ranks in most key demos and total viewers. Anger Management also was among the top 5 primetime shows in basic cable last night, ranking fourth in the 25-54 demo and fifth in 18-49. For the five telecasts to date (live plus same day) the show ranks as cable’s most-watched primetime scripted comedy series in 18-49 and in total viewers. The show also continued to build this week on its repeat Anger Management episode lead-in with a 60% increase in 18-49, a solid boost from the two-week prior increases of 51% and 58%.

Still believe with the ratings declines this show should not be renewed; otherwise, Fx is on the hook for 80 additional episodes.
That’s OK, John, we’ll still watch your show, too.
Thanks for your opinion Zeke, guess you were NOT a business major?
This may be for the best for him, 2 1/2 Men wasn’t going to be around much longger even if he had stayed. For a cable show these are good numbers, he may get a few good seasons out of this.
Now that 2 1/2 Men is on Thursday night this may be it’s last season….I hope.
FX will definitely pick up the show. Its the highest rated show of their entire evening and its really good!!!!
I don;t like the new show. charlie is great as always, but i was really turned off by the first episode when he was in bed with Selma and he said ‘I promise I will never love you’. And in another episode, the woman who plays his ex wife is acting tired or drunk, but she did it really badly and I had to turn the show off.
I love you Charlie, get your show good!
I am a huge Charlie fan but I didn’t care for the first two episodes. But he is definitely back in his grove with the last 3. Love It!!!
