Disney and Marvel tonight hosted a fan screening of Item 47, the short film that will be a prelude to the September 25 DVD release of The Avengers. The screening was organized for fans, the culmination of a daylong Avengers and Item 47-themed scavenger hunt. Short was directed by Marvel Studios co-president Louis D’Esposito and played to a packed house at the Horton plaza theatre. Marvel gets its Hall H panel tomorrow at 6 PM.

It was a pretty cool little short. I hope they expand on it and give us an “Agents of Shield” movie focusing on the heroes without the super powers (Fury, Black-Widow, Hawkeye). I’d take that over ant-man. Anybody at marvel read this?
I got the notion to second that emotion — would LOVE to see “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” as the lead-in to “Marvel’s Avengers 2.”
