EXCLUSIVE: Here’s a first look at stills from Frozen Ground, the based-on-a-true-story thriller starring John Cusack, Nicolas Cage and Vanessa Hudgens. The movie written and directed by Scott Walker revolves around Alaska’s most notorious serial predator Robert Hansen (Cusack), who in the span of 12 years abducted more than 24 women, flew them into the Alaskan wilderness, and hunted and murdered them. Hudgens plays the one teenage victim who escaped, and Cage plays the Alaskan State Trooper who finds her on the street — together they work to bring Hansen to justice. Randall Emmett and George Furla are producing with Amber Entertainment’s Jane Fleming and Mark Ordesky. Envision Entertainment’s Stephan Martirosyan and Remington Chase, and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson are executive producers. Emmett/Furla fully financed the pic.

This is looking promising. As one of two major films that were actually shot *in* Alaska, instead of Canada or Washington, I hope this does well. My old hometown made a big push to get production companies to film there, so they need at least one movie to do well after Big Miracle flopped.
with a 40% incentive everybody should
I love love love Nicolas Cage. Looking forward to this movie as I do to any movie good or bad, that he’s in. One of the most talented and wonderful actors alive.
I love Vanessa Hudgens so much! I was happy and excited when I learned she’d got the chance to film this kind of movie with Nic Cage and John Cusack. Looking forward for this…
You know there has never been enough evidence to prove or even strongly suggest that Robert Hansen “hunted” his human victims, as entertaining as that might be for a film. It will irritate me to no end if this is a major aspect of the movie, which it undoubtedly will be.
I know they do this all the time in films but fore, I just don’t have any interest in seeing a movie that “glamorizes” a true story of a serial killer killing his victims. If I was a family member of the victims I’d be appalled.
