For the record, it’s a very sympathetic way to exit. Because here’s how Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts told viewers that her medical problems were taking their toll a little early. ”Well, a full disclosure here, I’m not feeling too well,” Roberts said at 8:08 a.m. EDT. “In fact, I’m going to leave, and let you all do the rest of the program on your own. I’m going to take a little time off, just to get some vacay. I’ll see you in a couple of weeks.” Roberts was diagnosed last month with the bone marrow disease MDS, previously known as preleukemia. This morning, she appeared upbeat, joking with colleague Josh Elliott and even making fun of herself for having trouble pronouncing a word. ”I can’t talk on this side of my mouth”, she said. Roberts was suffering from a sore jaw as a result of her treatment. ”We’re going to miss you, but we do appreciate the Jimmy Cagney impersonation before you leave,” Elliott joked.

Praying and praying die her for complete healing
“Praying and praying die her”? Wha…?
“die” is one letter left on the keyboard from “for”
I hope she makes a speedy recovery. She’s a real joy.
Praying for complete healing
Good call… Listen to your body. Get well soon, Robin.
I watch you every morning you are awesome your healing is coming
I can’t think of anyone else in the media that is as sincere and well-respected as Robin. Best of luck to her for a speedy and full recovery.
We love you Robin.
Wishing u full recovery.wud rather u on top of ur game than under the weather.gloria (barbados)
You are my daily morning strength. my prayers have been with you and i see you healed. know your
God and the strength of the both of you.
My husband and I have been watching GMA for at least three decades, but we have never enjoyed it as much as now with the current team of Robin,George,Josh,Sam and Lara. What a winning combo! Our well wishes and prayers go out to Robin who is our favorite reporter/anchor. She has it all…brains, beauty, style,a sense of humor and courage. Get well, dear Robin. No one can take your place!!
Praying that your treatment is extremely successful and you’re feeling better really soon. I heard you speak in Pensacola, FL a few years ago and so enjoyed it. You are an inspiration to so many. God bless and be with you and your family during this time.
I hope Robin Roberts health gets better during her “vacay,” she’s simply the best and the world needs ppl like her to stick around for a long as humanly possible. With that said, I can’t help but believe that this departure, unlike her last, suggests the very real possibility that she won’t be returning to GMA (at least as full-time co-anchor) no matter how well her health progresses. Both Robin & George haven’t been shy about expressing their disgust with the new over-the-top tabloid “fluff stuff” that’s makes up the “new” GMA format. Robin & George are the real deal and GMA is quickly becoming a joke!
We love you Robin. Praying for your complete recovery.
Hi Ms. Robin, I am a huge fan of yours and every morning I’m up at 6:45am wrapping it up so I can be in front of my television by 7:00, anyway I missed Wednesday news and today my co-worker asked me did I know about you leaving/taking a break from the show, and I was almost started crying because I had to hear it from someone else about your sickness, anyway I will always keep you and your warm spirit in my prayers, and may God bless and uplift you from anything that he hasn’t given a will for and I love you and wish you all the best. Liz- a faithful viewer of Robin Roberts
Robin Roberts you are a big part of the GMA Fab-Five & sorely missed. You’ve become a big part of our lives. We truly miss you as we know Sam, George, Lara & Josh do also. God bless you Robin. We have every faith you will beat this and be back to continue educating & entertaining the masses. Dave & Renee Seidlitz-CA
Robin,
You inspire me!! I have never seen a TV personality share their life the way you do. It is obvious that God is in control of your life. I’ve heard you say that “Life is a journey.” Your journey may be about the inspiration that you bring to so many everyday that bring your positive energy to the world. Hold on to that faith as you walk this journey. I am praying for you daily. I love watching you and your team on GMA. Keep us posted on your recovery. We love you and KNOW that the best possible outcome is there for you.
