Viewers of Grey’s Anatomy know that some of the actors on the show didn’t make it out of last season’s plane crash finale. Now Camilla Luddington has booked a recurring role as a young doctor on the ABC show, and the role comes with a series option to become a regular next season. Luddington is coming off a six-episode arc on HBO’s True Blood and a nine-episode arc on Showtime’s Californication. In addition, she’s playing Lara Croft in the next edition of the Tomb Raider game that comes out in March 2013. She also played Kate Middleton in Lifetime’s William & Kate. Luddington is repped by Progressive Artists and Main Title Entertainment.

And she was also in the past seasons Californication, and she looked smashing, baby!
So, wait, is the option to become a regular valid for this upcoming season? Or would that not take effect until season 10 (should it be renewed that far)?
Personally I’d be happy to see them stick with the cast they have for the moment, there’s still 12 regulars remaining after the events of the finale!
Awesome kill off one regular to add another in pretty much the same role as the last one. Boo.
Very disappointed that they are changing cast and loosing characters. I have been an avid fan since the begining and have seen too many changes starting with loosing George. I was glad to see Preston Burke gone…..so whats next?
Why can’t Burke comeback. Even with another actor. Please bring him back. Any thing is better than the McCheater for our Cristina.
They keep adding and adding and doing mistakes after mistakes. Must create the habit of replace the actors, not the characters. That kills the quality of the story and the show.
