Work at Ryan Murphy‘s production company was disrupted for a couple of hours today. When an office assistant was opening a letter from a fan who wanted Murphy to read his script, a little bit of white powder spilled out. As a precaution, the Paramount-based production offices were evacuated and a HazMat team was called in. According to LAPD spokeswoman Karen Rayner, after a brief investigation, the police determined the substance was not hazardous. Everybody at the offices, which house Murphy’s three shows under his 20th Century Fox TV deal – Glee, American Horror Story and The New Normal – are now back at work.

Bet that’ll get him read.
Calling the cops to check out a white powdery substance in your office? Boy times have changed.
Sounds like someone wanted to get out of doing the Glee concert tour.
Man, some Gleeks take the show way too seriously.
Whew, that was close.
I’m sure a cool TV show will evolve from this…..
Mail, powder, time travel, prison, an island…..
so many questions…..
What??? Who could possibly have anything against Ryan Murphy?? This is baffling.
I worked at a record company in the 80′s…we ALWAYS had white powdery substances in the (inter)office mail.
realitygurl, best comment on deadline in forever!!! Cracked my ass up!!!!
This sounds suspicious. Why would Murphy be opening a letter from a fan, who then wants him to read a script? Wouldn’t Murphy’s publicist be reading unsolicited fan letters first? This doesn’t seem credible. I think its from a fan who saw one of his concerts, if you ask me.
Cocaine used to be a valuable tool for bribery in Hollywood. Nowadays not so much. 30 years ago it was everywhere and you were expected to offer it or take part in it.
