ABC News has a set photo from HBO‘s Liberace biopic Behind The Candelabra, which stars Michael Douglas as the famed pianist and Matt Damon as his longtime partner Scott Thorson. Steven Soderbergh is directing the pic, which started out as an indie film but seems a good fit at HBO.

Can we just send them their Emmy’s now?
It’s amazing … Michael Doiuglas … looks like Michael Douglas from ‘Streets of San Francisco?’
Can’t wait! Great casting!
Three Oscar winners in an HBO project that will only play in the big cities. CAA or UTA needs to lock and load.
That is the HBO audience, captainlashout, and I, for one, am glad about it. Considering what generally passes off as movie entertainment these days, its nice to see something that isn’t based on a comic book or is a sequel/reboot.
What a WIG-A-PALOOZA!
Once again, HBO is making movies that Len Amato and 8 of his friends will enjoy… Hopefully this tops the 800,000 total viewers that tuned in for that vanity piece bomb Hemingway and Gellhorn.
wow another classic story that everyone is clamering to see!
hopefully it will be better than the peter sellers crapfest.

Gonna be great.
Be my Maestro, Lee,
Passion more seen, soul more heard,
Play Liberace,
Piano’s rosetta stone,
Maestro music is that way.
Shirtless Matt adore,
Twirl your bike helmet for bull,
Whirl your red silk shirt,
Poolside by moonlight, ballet,
Lee key-dance Malaguena.
Going out on a limb here, any movie with the word “candelabra” in the title will not be a ratings hit or drive subscribers.
