Woohoo! Honestly despite being on MTV, “Awkward” is one of the best comedies airing on TV right now!
When will people stop saying “despite it being on MTV”? Seriously, if a show is good, it’s good. Who cares what the network is.
I only said it because people tend to overlook the network or not realize they do original scripted programming… I wasn’t dissing them or anything.
Such a great show
YESSS!!! Excellent quality comedy and I’m glad MTV has renewed it for a larger season. Keep the awkward coming!
Yes, this is awesome news. Now MTV needs to give it a stronger lead-in or something, so the ratings can go even higher. The ratings are definitely solid, but Awkward deserves even better ratings.
I honestly can’t think of a better lead in on the network than a “Jersey Shore” spin-off… except “Teen Mom” – but I think that would be too ironic of a pairing.
Congrats to Lauren Iungerich and her very talented team!
@boysnextdoor
What about Jersey Shore?
“…the P12-34 demographic…”
I hope no 12 year olds are watching this trash, so typical from MTV. The recent bible camp episode was offensively anti-Christian, but liberal Hollywood again and again celebrates such insult. Beyond that, Lauren Iungerich is just another creep profiting from glorifying teen sex.
Shame on the creators and writers of this show, and shame on any parents who let school-aged children watch it.
When is MTV going to make a show with a shred of decency? That would be truly shocking and original to their audience.
You clearly don’t watch the show. Also, the most recent episode took on multiple point of views and wasn’t even offensive!
Way to go, Erin!
Awkward. = the saving grace of MTV. quite possibly the best teen show on TV. very glad for its success.
Congrats to MTV for the success of such a brilliant show, brilliant cast and brilliant creator. Looking forward to many more seasons. This show is certainly a reason to tune into TV today.
Erin and Lauren onward and upward. What about Awkward the movie on the future ?
