Big Brother (1.9/7) kicked off CBS’ primetime last night with its first Wednesday episode of the season. But the multi-night reality show was down 30% from last summer’s Wednesday premiere. On NBC, it was results night on a live America’s Got Talent (1.9/6), and the show slipped 5% from last week to hit a seaosn low. Still, with more than 7.5 million viewers, Talent was Wednesday’s most watched show. Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance (1.8/6) had more of this year’s Top 20 strutting their stuff, but the show fell 10% from last week. Fox won the night in adults 18-49, while CBS won in total viewers with 5.4 million.
The rest of NBC’s night was repeats of Betty White’s Off Their Rockers (1.1/4), Up All Night (0.8/3) and then at 10 PM, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1.1/3). CBS followed up Big Brother with repeats of Criminal Minds (1.0/3) and CSI (1.1/3). ABC had a night of mainly repeats with The Middle (0.8/3), Suburgatory (0.9/3) two Modern Family episodes at 9 PM (1.4/4) and 9:30 PM (1.5/5), followed by a new Final Witness (1.2/4), which was up 5% from last week’s show.

What is hurting AGT is NBC’s bad lead ins for the night ( Betty White, Up All Night). Put AGT at 8PM and the show will do better. Stick it in the middle of repeats only hurts the show.
I don’t buy this reasoning at all — there are more viewers at 9p, especially since it’s summer. People will find this show if they want to find it — NBC repeats this show to death.
I buy it, the shows on NBC at 8:00PM and 8:30 on Wednesday are terrible. So much so that i avoid NBC until 9:00PM when AGT is on. I would not be surprised if people don’t come to NBC because of the horrible 8PM hour.
Apparently I am not the only one who quit watching when the
obnoxious, loud- mouthed Howard Stern came on as a judge.
What could the producers have been thinking? He made his
career by talking filthy and insulting everyone. And now Sharon
is leaving- I don’t blame her if she has to put up with Stern’s
mouth but it is just one more reason to not watch.
Howard is funny and makes the other judges have an opinion. Most judges today can’t judge and sugar coat everything. At least Howard has an original thought something that is lacing in people today. and did they not win the night…again?

Is America finally getting sick of all these “talent” shows? Seems every week they’re all hitting new lows.
You’re close sd… we’re not ‘getting sick’… we’ve already thrown up all our over shoes and changed the channel.
Wherever AGT is slotted it will continue to slide until the finals. The talent and the judges are quite boring this year. It simply has no vibe or buzz and anything of real interest..at least for me.
I am actually canceling it on DVR. Even reduced to JUST THE TALENT performances…it still is not worth the time anymore.
I liked the judges, especially Howard Stern, who i think lifts that show up in quality judging. The problem with AGT this year is the acts, which are terrible to say the least.
Which AGT show art you watching?? The only thing Stern can lift up is the toilet seat when he climbs out of it!
Big Brother seems like the only show on network primetime that’s not shot in HD. Looks GOD AWFUL. The SD makes the show look about as dated as it is. My kid can shoot 1080p on his iPhone. George Orwell would be ashamed. Step it up, Big Brother!

Let’s face it folks…NBC is just itching at the chance to start airing the Olympics so they won’t have to endure these horrid ratings they have been getting as of late and then blow everyone else out of the water. Big Brother is losing its touch and getting stale and stupid and ABC airs reruns and FOX continues to sink some and then you have the CW…are they still on the air??
I have discontinued watching AGT – The acts are horrid – not at all like when AGT first start. Was watching the YouTube show and turned it off – will not waste any more time watching any of it.
