In its second week, TBS’ new comedy Sullivan & Son drew 2.5 million viewers last night. The third episode of the show matched last week’s 10 PM series premiere and outperformed the second episode that aired at 10:30 PM last Thursday by 9%. In demos, last night’s episode brought in 615,000 adults 18-34 (up 15% vs. last week’s two-episode average) and 1.2 million adults 18-49 (up 5%). It is still early, but the hold bodes well for the Vince Vaughn-produced comedy’s renewal chances.

So happy to see a show with a diversity lead and a multi-generational, multi-ethnic cast is doing well. I HOPE MORE FOLLOWS. The Real American is FULL OF DIVERSITY.
Love the show, going to be on forever
This show is what we’ve been missing in the sitcom realm for ages!
Love the show I think it’s a cross between “Cheers” and “Archie Bunkers place” it is very refreshing from all the reality shows….
I watch very little TV, but will make time for this show. It has a bit of Married With Children mixed in as well. It is the exact opposite of reality TV, which as one of the commenters stated, is refreshing.
Sullivan is giving TBS credibility again in comedy. The writing keeps getting better. Hope they keep it going.
Anyone who works in this business can see how uneven this show is. Much of the writing is very old school and the cast ranges from fine to very, very weak. Will be interesting to see if this plays to flyover country as it would never be picked up by a traditional network, at least not without a complete overhaul. Vince can’t be proud of this creatively (at least in those quiet moments alone) but at least he’s created jobs – always a good thing!
Speaking of jobs; I laughed when I saw Peter Billingsley as an executive producer. He’s the real-life Turtle of Vince and John’s Entourage life.
Rob Long and Steve Byrne have created the best sitcom in years.
yeahh right.. The only reason you could possibly enjoy this series is if you are boring and exaggerated (just like the show itself)
