MTV is bringing back Teen Wolf for a third season, it was announced today at Comic-Con. The show’s star Tyler Posey first teased fans that the show hadn’t been picked up to cries from the crowd before springing the real news. The upcoming season is for 24 episodes, twice the number of the first- and second-season orders. 
The pickup was expected as Teen Wolf was recently one of the winners of California’s $100 million tax-credit lotto, after it applied for the credit as a relocating series. It previously filmed in Atlanta but will shoot in LA next season. The announcement was made during the show panel at the packed 6A Ballroom that included executive producer Jeff Davis as well as series stars Posey, Dylan O’Brien, Crystal Reed, Tyler Hoechlin, Holland Roden and Colton Haynes previewing the upcoming season. It kicked off with a well-received preview of MTV’s new American version of the UK teen show The Inbetweeners.

Great decision on MTV’s part. Despite it’s interesting history “Teen Wolf” has evolved into a very engaging and exciting series!
I just hope that MTV will make a similar announcement for “Awkward” soon

Are you kidding me!? Awkward. is praised as MTV’s most well scripted shows by critics and fans alike. Other than being well written, the cast is fantastic, the characters are well written, the show in general is well written, and for a comedy the show has a sense of witty humor. So, I disagree with you entirely. Awkward. does not “suck a fat one.”
I love Teen Wolf just as much as the others, so I’m excited about this news as well and I hope Awkward. receives the same renewal for a Season 3 with 24 episodes.
Proud cast member here! Happy for Jeff Davis and the entire cast and crew. I think part of the success of the show is the camaraderie between ALL and lack of ego from Jeff Davis and primary actors like Tyler Posey towards every person involved. This comes through on the screen. We watch every episode together on Monday nights at an undisclosed location. (Jeff’s house.) Hope this ass kissing post prevents me from getting killed on the show. A lot of adults love Teen Wolf; it’s turning into a top notch show. And the cast is terrific. Kudos to jeff Davis and especially Russell Mulcahy for his work on the show too.
And DirecTV subscribers are now grateful for the current blackout.

This show is awesome, so glad it is renewed and for 24 episodes! Thank God the TV exec’s or whatever they are, actually keep a show on that is worth watching, instead of all the crap “reality”, which is mind numbing and sickening.
I hope they face vampires in the next season.

Yes, adults like myself love watching Teen Wolf. I am very excited about the series having another season. The cast is amazing! Keep up the great storylines and action of the show. Promise not to keep me waiting too long.
