Sunday night saw the season finale of ABC’s The Bachelorette (3.0/9), which was up 7% from last year’s August 1 finale as this year’s bachelorette Emily Maynard chose entrepreneur Jeff Holm over race-car driver Arie Luyendyk Jr. The live Bachelorette: After The Final Rose (3.2/9 ) that aired at 10:02 PM was up 14% from last year. For CBS’ Big Brother (1.9/6), the news wasn’t so good: The reality series was down 17% from last Sunday. On Fox, there was Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift and much more for the live Teen Choice 2012 (1.1/3) awards, flat from a year ago. On a weekend where news focused on The Dark Knight Rises shooting tragedy in Colorado, Dateline NBC (1.0/3) had a two-hour episode from 7-9 PM, the newsmagazine show was up 25% from last week. That was followed by a two-hour encore broadcast of America’s Got Talent (0.8/2). ABC won the night in adults 18-49 and total viewers.
ABC began the night with a repeat of America’s Funniest Home Videos (1.2/4). CBS began with a repeat of 60 Minutes (1.0/4) at 7 PM. The network’s night ended with repeats of The Mentalist at 9 PM (0.9/2) and 10 PM (0.9/2). Fox had repeats of The Simpsons (0.9/3) at 7 PM and Family Guy (1.2/4) at 7:30.

Yahoo, it’s finally over! Now, next time let’s get a True Bachelorette on the show, not a ‘mom’; that’s another show. Real Bachelorettes do ‘not’ have kids.
What an asinine comment. You must be related to Kalon.
Thanks to Emily’s more mature and practical approach (because she’s a single mom) this has been a more realistic and fun ride for many viewers. I’ve never seen so many good guys either. Worthy men. And yeah, she was the most beautiful bachelorette they’ve had. I agree. More importantly she’s also one of the smartest. Did us women proud!
Yes, that show’s called MILF & ABC should jump on it before Spike TV does.
Ouch. Harsh comment, but funny. That single mom is way hotter than 90% of the women on the show. I’d take the baggage.
Big Brother fell because the only hottie got eliminated. Show’s downhill from here. Thought the producers were smart and would throw in a twist to protect her and keep her on the show. So much for my faith in reality producers.
Can we please stop casting white trash as reality contestants. The overdone tattoos are annoying.
Did you notice the audience in the After the Rose telecast? 99.9% white women. I’m white but geez, i thought, this show was either taped in Salt Lake City or they really need to open the tent! Who made that decision over at ABC???????? What happened to their diversity program??
Let’s face the facts here…9 out of 10 of those romances produced by the Bachelor/Bachelorette franchises literally ended in break-ups and it’s just getting to a point where ABC really has nothing better to air and they did this as a stunt so people would tune in and not read reality Steve’s spoilers, which I might add, he hit the nail right on the head. NBC just can’t wait to start airing the Olympics right about now.
Best Bachelorette season in a long time. Those demo ratings are even higher than Ben Flajinik’s Bachelor season finale from March and also higher than DWTS’ finale. Great job by ABC and The Bachelorette producers for casting for great guys and an awesome mom with morals for The Bachelorette. You’d think ABC and the other broadcast nets would get the message after seeing these demo ratings and viewer numbers but no. Ninety-nine percent of the shit ordered by the networks is disgusting filth that no parent would be caught watching especially with their children(young or grown-up children).
