Pumped for this.
If Renner can help turn Hansel and Gretel into a hit, he may go five years or more without a bad release. He’s either a sharp guy, has stellar representation, or both.
Blew my mind when I found out he was D’Agostino in Senior Trip. Guy paid his dues.
I thought Jason Bourne was the whole story. Now they are telling me there are other agents even deadlier than Bourne which has to be impossible. Aaron Cross can’t be stronger or sharper than Jason Bourne. If he were that good the movie would explode from the sheer awesomeness of it. Tell Matt Damon to come back for a sequel so we can have Bourne and Cross as a super action duo. The ambiguously gay duo won’t work call them the ambiguously hetero studio franchise-extension sequel duo. Don’t do a reboot just bring back Damon and it will work twice as good without Paul Greengrass directing. Gilroy has imitated Paul’s style perfectly. Same exact fighting scenes same car chase scenes same everything.
But Aaron Cross is genetically-enhanced; Bourne wasn’t. So just think of this as Hannah 2, but with boys.
I was at the theater today watching “Savages”. The trailer for “The Bourne Legacy” pops on. After the trailer finished a women sitting next to me leaned over and said “Where is Matt Damon?”.
That says it all for me, and what I have been saying since I heard Greengrass and Damon were not involved.
This film will under perform. Get back Damon…..he is the only Bourne.
Not the same without Damon
I’m so disappointed that Matt Damon isn’t in this movie. Not interested in this one. If Matt comes back to do another one it’ll be years. I think this is a huge mistake.
Sorry, but I think this looks better WITHOUT Damon. And I love extra chromasomes even if i cant spell them, it’s the movies, I want to see him do some unworldy stuff. Better script, better director…I am excited to see this!
agree – think this movie looks fantastic, and renner has top notch acting chops to take the franchise & character to the next level.
i dont think movie goers are attached to damon’s bourne character – they just want an amazing movie / experience, this will deliver 4 sure!
This comment literally sounds like it was written by the publicity department at Universal, complete with the tween text flourish “4 sure,” to appeal to a younger demo.
Agreed. Sure Damon was great in the Bourne series but this looks GOOD. It’s an exciting direction the franchise is going in and I’m excited to see Renner in this role, because I think he’s one of the very few actors that can pull off just about anything. Looking forward to this.
I look forward to seeing this and judging by the trailer/s, it looks to give the first three a run for their money.
