The CW is heading into fall with a new slogan, TV Now, which replaces the previous TV To Talk/Text/Tweet About. The network also is unveiling a new graphics package (video below), playing off adjectives like ProvocaTV and SuggesTV.

Yes! That’s sure to fix the network!
Don’t know how you can replace “the dubba dubba dubba W B”
Yeah, that’ll help.
Brilliant! The CW can really own “TV Now”. No way could that apply to a million other networks…
In my house the CW has been branded as “Never”.
Hey at least it’s a step up from “TV to Talk/Text/blah blah about” – it was like nails on a chalkboard hearing that every commercial break…
At least “TV to Talk About” was catchy. This is kinda just unimaginative.
so basically The Vamp Diaries is the only show they have? why is 70 percent of this trailer dedicated to Nina Dobrev’s face? we all know that but at least seem like you are pushing your other series (where is Nikita? the only quality show on the network)
Nikita is at :18.
This is a network branding message, not a pushing individual series message. They are not trying to tell people that the Nikita airs on Friday night at 9:00.
They are telling viewers:
1) This network features really attractive people
2) We have a new slogan
3) You can stream CW content on any device and use various social media apps to connect with shows on the network
4) The Fall season starts Thursday, October 11
5) This network features really attractive people
That’s it. There will be plenty of other promotional spots to push each show later this summer.
Except that the CW fall season actually starts Oct 2. And while they did represent a few different shows, it was like a glorified ad for The Vampire Diaries. Don’t get me wrong – I love some TVD, but they do have quite a few other shows that I also tune in for/will be tuning in for.
That’s what I thought too; apparently Vampire Diaries is the only show worth showcasing on their “new” CW video. I’m sure Nikita is fine, but I’ll be watching Supernatural in the Fall, so would have liked more than one fraction of a second promo for the guys.
TV Now is what consumers want. But Now is how they define it, even if to CW it was TV five days, five months or five years ago. that’s the part viewers don’t care about. They want everything Now, not just what CW wants to give them now.
I’m a little confused as to why the trailer said a Switchfoot song was playing multiple times when it was clearly Flo Rida. I guess that’s fitting for such a terrible slogan.
Wow! I like it! This is going to really make 1977 the BEST year ever for the CW! Now if they’d just put “America 2 Nite” on a little earlier . . .
I’m sorry, but with the invention of the DVR, all tv is not NOW…it’s when you want it.
What genius came up with this unprecedented creative gem of a slogan?
This is perfect for them…
TV NOW = TV No One Watches. They have never had a better tagline.
At least they aren’t begging…yet.
Ugh Too Much Nina blah Dobrev
From an ad and branding perspective TV NOW for CW could work. But Nikita,Vampire Dairies should’ve gotton more ad play with its advertising especially if you’re trying to get new viewers. Add is to short in my opioin. Should be longer pushing the TV NOW,ProvocTV etc if u want that targeted viewer or audience remember who you are. Just think about it. Frankly there should be a second add running at least two miutes running time. HBO/Cinemax,
Showtime/TMC and Starz/Encore have much better graphic branding thier products and audience.
I think this is a graphics package being sent out to advertisers, not necessarily something that will air on the network.
The CW: TV Now (or 4 days from now if you want to stream it on our website)
I’ve got the re-branding strategy. The WB. Hire whoever was responsible for that classic stretch they had with shows like Felicity, Buffy, Angel, Roswell, Dawson’s Creek, 7th Heaven, Popular, Charmed, Gilmore Girls, etc. These shows were on during 1 season. They have few shows that could even compete with the worst of these.
CW. TV Now NOT WORTH WATCHING! How appropriate they finally realize their value.
Not really.
people like to hate CW, i dunno why, because there are buzz-worthy and actually good shows on there…if the haters who obviously don’t watch the network actually tune in sometimes.
But…the new campaign is still awful, not as bad as the downright embarrassing “TV to Talk About” crap, but still not good. I like the edgier approach, but the “something-TV” stuff is still cheesy.
Why all these nasty remarks? If you don’t want to watch the CW, don’t watch it, no need to be mean.
No matter what logo or monaker or saying or tagline they use, they need to get out from under their dismal performances the past few years time and bring about stability to this network and this season is going to be a true testament to prove that. If they have another season like this past one, I can’t sense the CW lasting another year and therefore, CBS/WB pulls the plug on this venture.
CW…also knows as Completely Worthless…at least for now.
That is a terrible song for their ad campaign. They should use “Wild Ones” instead. Wild Ones says it all.
The slogan should be…”This Season On The CW Network, Come Get Wild With Us!” (cue the Flo-Rida–The Wild Ones as the ad footage plays)…(pause)…”We’re The Wild Ones!” Fade-out–end ad.
