Fox was cooking Tuesday night, with Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen (2.4/8) rising 20% from its previous Tuesday episode two weeks ago. Following at 9 PM, MasterChef (2.5/7) continued the upward trend, growing 25% from two weeks ago as Paula Deen joined Ramsay and fellow judges Joe Bastianich and Graham Elliot to talk grits and Southern cuisine. (Neither Hell’s Kitchen nor MasterChef aired last week due to the MLB All-Star Game.) Meanwhile, NBC’s live two-hour America’s Got Talent (2.6/8) was down 7% from last week. Last night’s penultimate episode of Love In The Wild’s (1.3/4) second season trimmed down to its final two couples and rose 8% from last week. Fox was No. 1 among adults 18-49 and NBC won the night in viewers.
ABC started Tuesday with Wipeout (1.4/5) at 8 PM, with the show down 7% from last week to a series low. That was followed by a double shot of Trust Us With Your Life. The second week of the improv comedy biography show had Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban at 9 PM (0.9/3) and Ricky Gervais at 9:30 PM (0.9/3). The Cuban show was down 18% from last week’s 9 PM, while the Gervais show was down 10% from the 9:30. The second of Terence Wong’s eight-episode documentary series NY Med (1.2/3) ended ABC’s primetime night flat with last week. CBS had a night of repeats with NCIS (1.0/3), NCIS: LA (1.0/3) and Person of Interest (1.0/3).

Love AGT and Howard Stern, great show last night.
The ratings this summer are showing the trend that is escalating in this country. No one is watching television anymore. Every time I check the listings for prime time, I find nothing to engage my interest. People are finding other things to do with their time because tv isn’t providing anything other than chef and weight loss and dating competitions. Was there a decent new drama or mini-series scheduled this summer? (POLITICAL ANIMALS excepted ).
What about LA Complex on the CW?
An L.A. based series about 20 somethings trying to break into show business? How utterly original and ground breaking! No thanks.
So does that mean there will not be more seasons of “Love in the Wild” or “Trust Us With Your Life”? Those are the shows I have really been interested in but watch on hulu since I don’t have any type of satalite.
