EXCLUSIVE: The fallout from the exit of Dan Aloni from CAA to WME Entertainment continues. In a shocker, Jim Carrey has left CAA so that he could rejoin Aloni at WME. Carrey was built into a superstar at UTA before leaving to join CAA when Aloni left that agency and became CAA agents.
Said Carrey: “My work with Dan Aloni reaches back to Ace Ventura and through films like The Truman Show and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I have decided to continue that relationship by joining him at WME. I want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone at CAA who worked very hard on my behalf.” Carrey continues to be managed by Jimmy Miller and Eric Gold.
Since Aloni left CAA, he has brought over all his big clients including Chris Nolan, David Dobkin, Mike Myers, Jay Roach, David Goyer, Tom Shadyac, Michel Gondry, Raja Gosnell, Mandeville Films, Jonathan Mostow, Dean Parisot, Neal Moritz, Andy Fleming, David and Ian Purchase, John Crowley and John Carney.

Totally agree. Jim’s career, it would seem, peaked long ago. I believe in loyalty and friendship more than anything, but it might be worth a moment to consider Dan’s advice and counsel and the results over the past several years.
That is assuming Dan had influence on Jim’s more recent choices to expand his art while maintaining his appeal.
Great work Dan, but don’t let Venit near him.

Jim has always been a wonderful, under-respected actor. He may not get the 20 million pay day, but I bet he gets some great roles to play and finally the oscar he deserves

JIm Carrey is extremely talented and unique. He’s hilarious and still has a long career ahead of him. He has a legion of admirers who love his films and we all eagerly look forward to his next movie.
Robbed of an Oscar for Mask. Hard to stay relevant. The business has just changed too much. But he’ll always rate as of the best comic film actors.
Mask is the role he got robbed for? Not the Golden-Globe winning roles in Man on the Moon or Truman Show which didn’t even garner an Oscar nom?
Eric Gold owes everything to Jimmy Miller who did all the heavy lifting for years—thankfully Jimmy
woke up and smelled the stench got rid of him and is now thriving as a movie producer something Gold was desperate to do, but sadly he has no taste whatsoever.
Ellen should wake up about Gold…..we’ve been telling her this for a long time.
Nick Stevens got jim when he was nothing. When he left him, he was nothing again. Aloni had absolutely nothing to do with jim before Caa, and never spoke to him once. Nick only.

Jim Carrey doesn’t even work anymore. Maybe he needs a new agent anyway, one who can get him work. He should go into more drama roles.

Eric Gold has always had excellent instincts. His track record speaks for itself and, uh, he happens to manage THE biggest star in daytime TV in Ellen. Give the man his due. And, btw, don’t ever count Jim Carrey out — one of the funniest actors ever. For the “”youngsters” take a look at Dumb and Dumber, Liar, Liar or the first Ace. Most comedy guys would love to have ONE of those.
