Anyone Care Who Won ‘American Idol’? 
Chatter about the the judges on the upcoming 12th season of American Idol intensify as Fox is expected to start completing deals and announce talent right after the Labor Day holiday weekend. Despite all the speculation, Mariah Carey still is the only judge locked in for next season. Nicki Minaj continues to be in negotiations. Keith Urban appears likely to get the “country” chair, for which Fox had approached Brad Paisley early on. The judging panel will likely be extended to four people, with the last spot still vacant. The only surviving original American Idol judge, Randy Jackson, had long been rumored to segue into a mentor role. TMZ today is reporting that as fait accompli, though sources stress that no final decision has been made. Fox chairman Kevin Reilly at TCA indicated that he expected Jackson to be back in some capacity. Also back is Nigel Lythgoe as executive producer and host Ryan Seacrst, who is under a multi-year deal.

What about Jimmy Iovine? If Randy is the mentor, is Jimmy gone? Iovine has been the only guy on this giving contestants any sort of help and guidance for the past two years.
Who watches this show still?
I hope they get Adam Lambert as a judge, that would be the main reason for me to tune in. Adam is great, he’s talented, witty, charming, & has already proven to be a wonderful mentor who is honest in his critiqued without being harsh or mean, he has the best insight as he’s been on the show.
I don’t care for Nicki Minaj & don’t understand why they want her on the show as a singing talent judge.
Nicki Minaj does not SING. So, Idol wants her to judge singers?? They have lost their minds….
…I’d say nearly thirty million viewers care to watch two to four hours a week, so yes – people care.
I care!!! But please PLEASE get rid of Randy Jackson… He was always the most annoying judge…
It was so boring watching him to attempt to anchor the judging table over the past 2 season with his boring/predictable/annoying personality
Lately..Mariah Carey can’t get a hit to save her life..she needs this show more than the show needs her. As far as Nicki Minaj goes..love her music..but not sure how much of a fan base she truely has that will equel viewers.
This show needs to be canceled after this upcoming season as it has jumped the shark officially and needs to be over with.
Talk about beating a dead horse. All the speculating and over the top suggestions has been drawn out far too long. The worst part is they still haven’t found someone who could replace Simon Cowell and that’s what the show needs the most. Someone with the balls to tell people the truth.
I would have loved Mariah/Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs/Brad Paisley… But I don’t think that’s gonna pan out.
Just THANKFUL Adam Lambert is off the short list. The 17 people who bought his last CD can now go back to listening to his screech infused power pop/rock crap and stop trying to make him relevant, because guess what people, he isn’t and never will be.
Adam’s last album was #1 on Billboard, and his first album went platinum. And he has a Grammy nomination. Bye.

Nothing is going to save this.. the judging panel is terrible, and Mariah doesnt seem like she will be a successful judge.

The producers need to get someone on there who has somewhat of a musical education background. Someone who reads music, has perfect pitch, can sight sing and add some class. Hmmmmmm……Julie Andrews fits that bill!!! Call her agent ASAP!!!
