The wife of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney was originally scheduled for a Monday evening speech that was not slated to air on any of the major broadcast networks. Because the networks are airing only three of the four nights during the convention in order adhere to equal time rules. So officials now have shifted the speaker lineup for next week’s Republican National Convention in order to ensure that Ann Romney will appear in primetime.

Classy lady who helped raise 5 boys. As an engaged parent, that’s highly respectable.
This is all pointless, no? Much like the 2016 movie, the convention will appeal to viewers who were already going to vote for Romney/Ryan anyway and just about no one else.
And what would Ann Romney really have to say anyway? I love my husband, I’ve been with him for X years, he’s a great father, a great man, I trust him, he’s really successful, he’d be a great President, blah blah blah.
She is a lovely woman, who has faced daunting challenges with unwavering courage and grace. I very much look forward to hearing her speech.
And that extra 24 hours still won’t be enough.
I would expect to see President Obama’s wife speak also at the Democrat convention.
I plan on watching both conventions.
I am looking forward to hearing what Mrs. Romney has to say. She will make a great first lady if her husband is elected.
