EXCLUSIVE: Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul has been set to star in Long Way Down, the Paschal Chaumeil-directed adaptation of the Nick Hornby novel. Jack Thorne wrote the script and Finola Dwyer is producing.
Paul will star opposite Pierce Brosnan, Toni Collette and Imogen Poots in a film that focuses on a quartet of people who plan to commit suicide. Paul plays a pizza delivery man, and there is also an embattled television talk show host, a teenaged girl and the mother of a disabled boy. They befriend one another when they meet atop a tall building on New Year’s Eve.
The film will shoot in London starting in September. Paul, the Emmy-winning actor who’s wrapping up the final season of Breaking Bad, is represented by UTA and Loch Powell of Leverage Management.

Yeah! Go, Aaron! Glad to see him landing new film roles. Can’t wait to see him in SMASHED.
They finally got this project up and running. Good to hear. A Long Way Down is a great novel and Paul definitely fits the American character.
Wow Toni Colette cast as the 50ish woman? thats really sad – isn’t she 38?
You’re sad.
Yup, born in 1972. If TC is playing a 50ish woman that is absurd.
yet another reason why “older” actresses find it hard to get work in Hollywood. Directors cast a younger woman in an older woman’s part or they rewrite the character to actually be younger.
Book was great! This movie is many years over due! Can’t wait!
Magnets, bitch! Congrats to Aaron, amazing actor, excited to see him in future roles outside of Br Ba.
Cant wait to see Aaron Paul in “Long Way Down”‘ he’s an awesome actor!!
