Lukas Haas (Inception) and Saxon Sharbino have joined Fox’s drama series Touch as new regulars as the series reboots with moving the action (and leading duo Martin, Kiefer Sutherland, and his son Jake, David Mazouz) from New York to Los Angeles. In the first season finale, Martin and Jake met Lucy (Maria Bello), a distraught mother whose gifted daughter (Sharbino) is missing. The casting keeps 13-year-old Sharbino at Fox where she was discovered last pilot season when she beat out a score of young actresses to land the lead in the Karyn Usher pilot. Despite the fact that the pilot didn’t make it to series, Fox brass loved Sharbino’s performance. Haas will play a genius working for the mysterious Aster Corps that is after Jake. Joining Touch as a recurring is Greg Ellis (24), playing a journalist and an old friend of Martin’s.

This wont work. The show will be dead when episode 13 airs. Its ratings were bad on Thursday night and will do worse on friday.
I really like her.
I forgot this show was still on the air…itll be cancelled by the end of season 2.
I look forward to scenes with Kiefer running around in alleyways, concerned, whilst dialing a cell phone. Or something.
Well, Fox is hoping with some retooling, ratings might spike up. I was thoroughly surprised FOX moved TOUCH to Fridays. Going up against CSI: NY will be a hurdle. TOUCH’s ratings from the maiden season were fragile to say the least. I think FOX renewed it because of Keifer Sutherland’s involvement. We’ll see.
the show reminds me of Touched by an Angel…so sugery that if you’re diaIsbetic you need to take your medecine before you watch it.Is this show a vanity project for keifer?Love him…but this show is a flaming bore.
Never understood why this was renewed…so booooooooooooring. bring back 24…it will triple the ratings… Fox used to be the king of tv…. what happened?
Touch 2 really disappointed. The show went from an improbable, but feel good…the world is inter-connected by people and events…to a sinister, evil corporation drama by the end of Season 1. Now it is back as “Corporate 24″ with murder and kids at risk as part of the play. Such a waste of talent on a show that now blows. The producers should have stuck to the theme of an extraordinary autistic boy who does good things–it worked in its own unique way.
I don’t know what TV show you people are all watching, but TOUCH is a fantastic television series. It’s a nice departure from all the ‘wham-bam’ action dramas & slapstick comedies that currently dominate the airwaves. I totally enjoy all the afore mentioned shows, TOUCH provides a refreshing breath of fresh air. Admittedly, the second season is better than the first, and if this indeed spells the end of the series, then at least it’ll go out on a high note. It’s so rare that there is a “feel good” show that isn’t on the Disney Channel, I don’t undersytand why SO MANY people have to condemn a show like TOUCH. You people have to cast aside the ‘Honey Boo Boos” and other reality TV garbage and give a television program like TOUCH, the opportunity it deserves.
