EXCLUSIVE: Hilary Duff is eying a return to series television. The Lizzie McGuire alumna has signed a talent/development deal with 20th Century Fox TV. Under the rich pact, the studio will develop a half-hour comedy vehicle for Duff to star in and produce. 20th TV can cast Duff in another comedy or drama project if the one she is attached to does not go forward, but the focus of the deal is on finding a half-hour idea and tailoring it to Duff’s comedic sensibilities.
Following her breakthrough starring role on the Disney Channel comedy series Lizzie McGuire, Duff transitioned to movies with the successful Lizzie McGuire movie. Since then, she has done occasional TV guest spots, most notably an arc on Gossip Girl, but this marks her biggest series commitment since Lizzie McGuire. Duff, most recently seen in the indie She Wants Me, is repped by the Gersh Agency, where she is a new client, and Curtis Talent Management.

I would love to see Hilary Duff back on TV..glad to see 20th Century Fox making that happen.
Yeeei hilary come.back!!!
I’m super excited I’vewaited too long to se e her back again
I’m so happy for her! Already excited for the show.
Omg I’m sooooooo excited
I don’t want to bring down this party, but I feel she had a good run & needs to stay out of the spotlight now. She became Disney’s “it” girl. She proved how powerful a demo tween girls are. She had “Stuff by Duff” and made her money. Sadly, she is charming, but not actually talented.
Best news since we found out Arrested Development was returning!
So excited!!
The audience that grew up with her now wants to see her as a sexy modern woman she’s a new mom she’s sexually active she has to do Lizzie in the City or Sexy New Lizzie or Naughty Lizzie at Night. Something along those lines. The key word is sexy. She also looks great with her new baby weight she should keep it she’s much more curvaceous and voluptuous. She should tell everyone who asks when she’s going to lose all that new baby weight to drop dead. She looks like a real woman instead of an emaciated concentration camp victim.
I am very happy about this! I grew up with Lizzie McGuire and it was a really well developed show for kids, but who knows, maybe that’s the nostalgia talking. Nonetheless, I hope that it’s a good show. Please let it be single camera!
What are you people talking about? Clearly this deal isn’t worth anything because no real industry assistants are raising their voice. It’s a deal for no money and no shot at any show but a great move for a publicist to make it look like she’s relevant and justify earning 5K per month. Hope you enjoyed the afternoon of phone calls.
very good
