EXCLUSIVE: ICM Partners has signed Walton Goggins, a solid actor who transitioned from the FX series The Shield to the anti-hero role of Boyd Crowder on Justified, and who has been co-starring in the role of Billy Crash for Quentin Tarantino in Django Unchained. This comes after Goggins played Wells Hutchins in the Steven Spielberg-directed Lincoln, with both of those films being released in Oscar season. Goggins starts work alongside Timothy Olyphant on the fourth season of Justified on October 15. He continues to be managed by Darris Hatch.

Why would he want to go to CAA or WME where he won’t be in the top 100 actors at either agency?
True, CAA and WME are more prestigious and more likely to get him into films. However, for many an actor TV is what really pays the bills; it will take a while until he’s consistently booking multiple seven-figure motion picture deals per year and he’s already 40. If ICM can get him six-figure/episode deals with consistent raises then he’ll certainly end up in a stronger financial position and won’t have to worry about ending up a 45-year-old “struggling actor” if he can’t keep booking MP roles (since by then he may have cooled off in TV as well).
He should have won multiple Emmy’s for his incredible work in The Shield…
