On the heels of its pickup of the off-network rights to Numbers, ION Television has acquired another long-running procedural, Law & Order: Criminal Intent. ION has bought all 10 seasons (195 episodes) of the Law & Order spinoff series, which started its run on NBC and ended it on USA Network. At ION, it joins Numbers, Flashpoint, Criminal Minds, Cold Case and Leverage and WWE Main Event.

ION has been picking up quite a few series as of late. Kudos to them!
They need to expand upon their programming hours but it can’t be just all dramas or a WWE highlights show mixed in, as that just creates an unhealthy balance. Why can’t they just include a few comedies and mix up the schedules a little bit to create diversity?
Man NBC was foolish in the first place for letting Law & Order: Criminal Intent go to USA Network in 2007 and USA Network was foolish for ending the series on a quasi-cliffhanger.
Criminal Intent needs to be brought back to NBC in my opinion because none of their new shows make me want to watch them, maybe Revolution and Do No Harm, but the rest (including a Dick Wolf pilot) of them, I’ll be bypassing. Esp. in wake of all the 2011-12 NBC cancellations, like Awake.
But ION has them a good show in Criminal Intent. It and Criminal Minds will likely share nights.
