EXCLUSIVE: Jennifer Ehle is in negotiations to join the cast of RoboCop. The two-time Tony Winner would star in the role of Liz Kline in the movie aside the recently announced Jackie Earle Haley, The Dark Knight Rises’ Gary Oldman, House star Hugh Laurie, Abbie Cornish and The Avengers’ Samuel L. Jackson. Jose Padilha is directing the remake of the 1987 crime action movie. Later this year, Ehle will be seen in Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty about the military team that found and killed Osama bin Laden. Ehle appeared last year in Steven Soderbergh’s Contagion and in the now cancelled CBS drama A Gifted Man. The actress won a Best Actress Tony in 200 for The Real Thing and another in 2007 for her role in The Coast of Utopia. Ehle is repped by ICM Partners.

By far the best part of Contagion. Loving this cast so far.
Hell yeah, Lizzie Bennet!
Maybe slowly Hollywood realizes that she doesn´t only looks like Meryl Streeps sister, she also is a great actress. And yes, I also think she was the best thing in “Contagion”.
But she will always be ‘dearest loveliest Elizabeth’ to we the Jane Austen fans! Loved seeing the little Pride and Prejudice reunion in The Kings Speech – Ehle, Colin Firth and David Bamber. She was also great in Pride and Glory.
The only Robocop is the original this crap will crash and burn like Total Recall.
Hollywood sucks get some new ideas
Since you’re article references other casting for “Robocop”, wouldn’t it make sense to mention Joel Kinnaman, since he is the star of the film?
I meant “your” – oops.
With all due respect. Ms. Ehle deserves better at this point than a “RoboCop” re-boot. If it’s a successful franchise I hope that it at least sets her up for life.
What Jennifer deserves is a main role in a movie that underlines her beauty and her actress performance.
Hollywood: she is a golden “girl”.
its about time they remake it a lot of the younger people dont even now what it is so yea its a good thing instead of some new age crap movie and dont even git me started on the crap they call movies now
