BREAKING: Jennifer Todd has just been named president of Pearl Street Films, the Warner Bros-based producing shingle run by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. Todd leaves her job as President of Film at the Mark Gordon Company, where she recently produced CBS Films’ upcoming 2013 release, The To-Do List. She also recently produced the Sony Classics film Celeste and Jesse Forever, starring Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg.
“We have enormous respect for Jennifer and look forward to working with her,” said Affleck and Damon. “She is great at producing and developing material, and we believe that with her we can take the company to the next level.”
Both Affleck and Damon are busy with varying projects, but Pearl Street Films has been gearing up on a number of projects. They include one on Boston crime kingpin, Whitey Bulger, for Warner Bros, with Affleck directing and Damon playing Bulger. The company is also in post-production on the Gus Van Sant-directed film Promised Land, which Damon wrote with John Krasinski. He and Krasinski star together and produced. Chay Carter and Drew Vinton continue to serve in their executive posts at Pearl Street.
As for Affleck, Warner Bros release his latest, Argo on October 12, in Oscar season. Affleck directed, produced and he stars as the film’s central figure, Tony Mendez.
Prior to working with the Mark Gordon Company, Todd and her sister, Suzanne, enjoyed a successful partnership under their Team Todd banner. Together, their credits include Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland, Across The Universe, Memento, and the Austin Powers trilogy.

Very cool! She’s a smarty.
Has Chris Moore now lost grip of Ben & Matt’s coattails? If so, welcome to the real world.
He is one of the producers of Promised Land. And he did a great job on Adjustment Bureau – virtually constant NY City location changes.
Why did she leave MG Pics? Is he downsizing? What happened?
if you took a meeting with MG and JT while she was at MG you’d understand why…

Hey, RnsW–how about revealing what it might be? Talk about a teaser! Without revealing who you are, can’t you allude to the dynamic? if not, this reader will hate you forever!lol
Seriously, you can’t just drop that on us without offering more.
I’m simply surmising with this but my guess is they argued constantly.
This is for Matt and Ben, guys it’s been a while since you’ve written any good screenplays…..how about getting back to writing screenplays with a lot of substance, heart , humanity, great stories, great characters and produce them yourselves…..and cast very talented actors only…..go back to the days when the writing was good , acting was good with enormous amount of substance…..” Goodwill Hunting ” was good…..let’s se what else you guys can do…..don’t go the commercial route with your projects, but aim for high quality, low budget, big profits, and Oscars…..be different…
Let me guess, a bunch of liberal themed movies filmed in Boston….yawn
You sound like a fun person.
I really hope Ben & Matt get around to making and starring in THE TRADE sooner rather than later. A great script and the perfect vehicle for those two.
Make sure you use a good number of people from the Boston area in this film please if you are going to make it authentic.
