4TH UPDATE, 7:20 PM: Michelle Obama is guest of honor at a fundraiser underway at Warner Bros chief Barry Meyer‘s home. (Frankly, the way he loathes any Hollywood union activism, Meyer seems more of a Republican… But he’s hosted or participated at prior Bambi fundraisers.) Event started at 4 PM and was a sellout even though ticket prices ranged from $2,500 to $25,000, and about 150 people are expected to attend. Sources tell Deadline that among the guests spotted are Warner Bros Pictures Group president and Office Of The President Jeff Robinov, Warner Bros Home Entertainment Group president and Office of the President Kevin Tsujihara, Warner Bros Television president Peter Roth, Warner Bros Domestic Television Distribution president Ken Werner. Also Warner Bros TV’s most valuable sitcom executive producer and creator Chuck Lorre (The Big Bang Theory, Two And A Half Men, Mike & Molly), CAA co-owner Kevin Huvane, New Line Cinema president Toby Emmerich, Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos, and DreamWorks Animation chief marketing officer Anne Globe. Plus E! talk show host Chelsea Handler, and director Rob Reiner. Here’s an edited-down White House Pool Report:
Barry and Wendy Meyer’s Los Angeles home is in a gated community near the J. Paul Getty Museum. A stone wall leads past the gate and up a slight hill to the Spanish-style residence. A small fountain gurgles at the main entrance to the house; to the right is a veranda that leads to the backyard, where guests will be directed. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Obama Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee of Obama for America, the Democratic National Committee and several state Democratic parties.
At 5:30 PM, from the living room, Mr. Meyer can be heard delivering remarks, urging guests to appreciate “a country that doesn’t dictate who you can and can’t marry,” and praising the U.S. for “aiming more carefully now, and firing less.” Mr. Meyer’s remarks are followed by those of his wife, Wendy Meyer. At 5:45 pm, pool is led outside under a large white veranda, facing a swimming pool encircled by beige beach chairs. In front of the pool are two tables covered with beige tablecloths, one set with beverages and another with cheeses, meats and other hors d’oeuvres. There are also trays of chocolate sandwich cookies. To the right of that area, around 100 guests are gathered on the grass underneath a large white tent.
FLOTUS is on a small stage, delivering her remarks in front of a navy curtain hanging from one edge of the tent. She has changed clothing from this morning’s event, and is now wearing a brown-and-white graphic print halter dress, with a narrow row of subtle beading down the front. She is also wearing black patent-leather pumps and turquoise drop earrings. “I am deeply honored and moved to be here. I always am. Coming to Los Angeles is always a refreshing experience because the love and support and the sophistication around the issues and the passion always gives both me and Barack an important boost. I want to start by thanking Barry and Wendy not just for their very smart and in-depth and gracious introductions, but for the role that they play not just in politics but in the world, in life…”
The mood is casual, with at least one guest sitting in the grass while listening to FLOTUS, and others, including some elderly guests, perched on chairs. The sun begins to set as FLOTUS nears the end of her remarks. At the end of her remarks, FLOTUS blows kisses to the crowd, then exits out the side of the house, past a row of rose bushes bearing yellow and peach blossoms. On their way out, guests are handed clear cellophane bags containing large white meringue cookies.
2ND UPDATE, 3:25 PM: Today the First Lady went first to a family-oriented fundraiser at singer Gwen Stefani’s Beverly Hills house around 1:40 PM, Here’s the White House Pool Report from Stefani’s event:
UPDATE: Michello Obama’s remarks: “All right, this is among the coolest things I do. [Laughter.] I’ve gotten to hang out with the queen, a couple of queens and kings and princes and dukes and whatever, but this — this is cool. [Laughter.] So obviously I’m thrilled to be here with all of you today. And I want to thank Gwen, in particular, for being so kind and gracious and hosting us all here at her beautiful home. [Applause. Mrs. Obama's next remarks are geared toward a crowd that included many children and young parents.] “And I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again: Barack can’t do it alone. He’s not Spiderman. (Laughter.) He’s not a superhero; he’s a human. So he needs your help.”
PREVIOUS: It’s 1 PM PST, and FLOTUS has just arrived at the home of pop star Gwen Stefani. The house is in a gated community in Beverly Hills, just off Mulholland Drive. Among the guests your pool reporter can spot are Nicole Richie and husband Joel Madden, actor Jeffrey Tambor and actress Alyson Hannigan. A long black slate driveway with its own black gate, lined by 8-foot shrubs, leads to the residence. Tickets for the event started at $2,500 for a family of four, with approximately 400 guests expected to attend, according a campaign official. Proceeds from the events will benefit the Obama Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee of Obama for America, the Democratic National Committee and several state Democratic parties. The event has been billed as a “Sunday of Fun,” and on one side of the house is a hardcourt tennis court, which has been decorated for the event with bridge of red, white and blue balloons arranged in the form of an American flag.
The tone of the event is very casual, with most guests wearing sundresses or shorts and many in straw hats. Many children are clutching balloon animals or pieces of paper reading, “High-Five for President Obama!” with an area underneath for a child to make an impression of his or her palm.
At 1:50pm, pool is taken from holding spot to the back deck of the home, where Mrs. Obama’s speech is already in progress. Pool was not permitted to listen to Ms. Stefani’s introductory remarks.
Mrs. Obama is wearing a sleeveless navy dress with detailing around the waist (pool is not close enough to determine whether it is a belt) and flat sandals with silver detail. She has several bracelets on her right hand. Ms. Stefani and her bandmates from No Doubt, including Tony Kanal, are seated on folding chairs on the upper portion of the patio. Ms. Stefani is wearing a sleeveless hot pink peplum top, matching hot pink skinny pants, black leather stilettos with spike heels and several chunky silver bracelets. Her hair is arranged in a top knot.
On Monday, she’ll make her third appearance on Jay Leno’s Tonight Show where she’ll primarily discuss the London Olympics.

Another Hollywood fund raiser, if you count the ones in NY how many does this make?
It’s enough to turn your stomach.
not nearly enough when The Koch’s and Adelson are writing personal checks of ten million each or more as an investment in buying a GOP President who will pay them back by in deregulating their business’s industry’s.
And what do you think when all the wealthy and all the glamour types fundraiser for Obama. What are they expecting from him?
To be sophomoric … “nah nah nah nah, hey hey hey, Goodbye”
1/3 of a year left … Enjoy it.
TAKING NAMES FOR WHAT NOT TO PAY MY GOOD MONEY TO WATCH ON THE BIG SCREEN AND THE LITTLE ONE TOO. SICK OF THESE FOLKS AND THEIR CRAFT.
I am throwing out all my Gwen Stefani and No Doubt crap.
I assume that you bought any Stefani/No Doubt CDs because you like the music. So if she supports Obama, you need to throw them out?
I hope you don’t like Springsteen, U2, Elton John, and a lot of others or you’re going to be throwing out a lot of CDs.
I already did. Didn’t bother me one bit…
I’m with ya. I really liked Gwen Stefani before this. Now she’s on my personal ignore list.
If you’re voting for Romney and listening to Stefani you’ve got bigger problems than you think friend.
Party On Michelle…Oh, by the way, Rome is burning!
Meyer is just a typical hypocrite. He believes in union support as long as it doesn’t affect HIM directly. All hat, no cattle.
What? A Hollywood mogul, a hypocrite? I’m shocked, shocked.
YOU HAVE TO HIT THEM WHERE IT HURTS THE BANK ACCOUNT. THESE FOLKS HAVE TO STOP PRETENDING THAT WHAT THEY DO IS REAL THEY ARE PRETENDERS OF THE FIRST WATER.
It amazes me how anyone can criticize “another Hollywood fundraiser.” These fundraisers bring in SQUAT compared to what even one Republican donor gives. This is gonna pull in, what? $250K. Sheldon Adelson is giving Romney up to $1oo MILLION JUST by on his own. So, yeah, Obama needs to keep having these oh-so-many “Hollywood fundraisers” just to try and keep up with the should-be illegal corporate funding of the Romney campaign.
I think your definition of “squat” and my definition of “squat” are two different things. The fundraiser at Clooney’s house raised more than $13-million.
Then, your comment about “illegal corporate funding” his HYSTERICAL considering that virtually everything that comes out of Hollywood is a love letter to Barack Obama has his ideology. If Sheldon Adelson shouldn’t be allowed to contribute to Romney’s campaign, then HBO shouldn’t be allowed to air the Democrat propaganda more popularly known as “The Newsroom”.
Well said thank you.
I’m so bored with Hollywood. They can’t make good movies anymore. Most of the stars keep donating millions to keep Obama in office. I might go out and see two movies a year. They’re not getting much from me.
Let’s cut the actor’s salaries down to $10K per movie instead of $20K because of their mediocre performances in them. Then, they wouldn’t donate any money to Obama. They’d need to hold onto it to survive — just like the rest of us in society.
I agree w/ you first part, but not w/ the 2nd. That would be socialism
Here, here….
Excellent post! Obama and his acolytes are total hypocrites. They defame the wealthy, yet have no problem taking donations from the wealthy….as long as they are liberal wealthy.
Romney should propose a “Hollywood Pay Fairness Act”. This would limit the amount any actor or actress could make to no more than 20 times the average wage paid to the other workers (riggers, drivers, cameramen, etc). The 20 to 1 ratio is the amount liberals have been asking for in CEO/employee pay.
Let let them go first and show us the way.
Well said. I REALLY like that idea as I’m tired of the left-wing hypocrisy and would like to see this nitwit actors reined in.
I with you, friend. These overpaid Hollyweirders don’t have an “F” clue about how many hours it would take a common man to earn just one month of their salaries. I provide 40-50 hours of back-breaking work a week, erecting state of the art solar energy generation systems, and only make 600 dollars a week. And that is the gross. Democrats can’t ever seem to get their fill of my money. Tax, waste and spend, and tax again is all they know. Gwen Stephani was born with a face and voice that propelled her to enormous heights and magnificent riches, she needs to try a life of work with the face and voice of that “Throw Momma from the Train” woman and see how how she does. It would quickly breed a whole new ideology of Conservatism in order to live, sans Obama.
I disagree that the money raised in Hollywood is “squat”, and unfortunately, Citizens United has made what Adelson is doing legal, at least for now.
However, I have been saying for months that if you are out-fundraising Obama 100million-70million per month, it’s quite hypocritical to then turn around and complain about how much fundraising he’s doing.
And, yes, Newsroom is definitely pro-liberal, but an hour a week on HBO hardly equals the 24/7 of Faux News.
And the MSM is telling nothing but the truth???
You belong with Scott
ozman:
“but an hour a week on HBO hardly equals the 24/7 of Faux News.”
Riiiiight!
You are conveniently leaving out all all of the alphabet soup channels from ABC to MSNBC
Is Obama not the leader of the US?
And what is he doing about the current situation…….playing golf and fundraising
A true leader when we so desperately need one!
It is absolutely OK to complain, that the person elected President, spends so much of his time campaigning and raising money for his reelection. He has attended over 200 fundraisers so far. And that is not counting the numerous phoney “official trips around the country” where he speaks at a podium with his reelection logo on the front. Add to that his 104 rounds of golf, and it appears that about 1/3 of his time is fundraising, golf or vacation.
only 1/3? I thought it was at least 75%
I hate Fox News, but I also despise “Faux News”……it’s so two years ago, and pretty lame, on top of it.
1 hour on HBO! You forgot about ABCCBSNBCCNNPBS and the rest of the Obamalovingmedia.
Citizens United has absolutely NOTHING to do with what Sheldon Adelson was or is doing. NOTHING. A private citizen, like Adelson, always HAS been able to contribute unlimited funds to political groups for political advertising.
Citizens United applied to corporations being able to spend the own money on political commercials immediately before an election, or being able to donate their money to like-minded interest groups so that those groups can produce political advertisements.
But hey, you watch the Newsroom, so I’m sure this is where you got the idea; Sorkin included a Citizens United blurb in a recent show that said almost exactly what you said. Unfortunately, Sorkin got it wrong – like he does so many things.
Scott—-Don’t speak of which you have no knowledge.
crybaby
If these bring in “SQUAT”, as you term it, then why would they even bother having them? Logic would dictate that Obama is holding these events because there are few left who would give money to his campaign. Be very suspect of any polls that do not have Romney at least 10 points ahead. With his selection of Ryan – which will give him the state of Wisconsin – Romney has this election wrapped up.
Obama made/spent more money on his last election than any republican IN HISTORY (more than any person in history for that matter) so please stop the “unfair” bit. Was it unfair when Obama has all the money?! Obviously hasnt done a good job or he would be getting alllll that money again.
It’s the point that there is such a large number of celebrities and media types that are rooting for this guy.
Makes one wonder about not only their agenda, but their hiring practices.
Talk about discrimination. These freaks know all about it and practice it regularly.
Are you serious? 250K? That’s all these multi millionaires can come up with? I don’t think so. Why should it be illegal for one millionaire to fund someone’s campaign and not illegal for someone else? Just so long as it suits your agenda? Very Democratic of you.
Perhaps you should add them all up, it is simple arithmetic not high math. Didn’t Obama and/or his people proclaim that this election is going to cost US$1billion? Thank goodness we have many sources of information to go to where we can find out facts. Adelson’s money is the same color as Soros’s money, Hollywood’s money, the vast unions’ money, Wall Street’s money etc. so it would be best to shut up about Romney’s and his supporters’ money. What disturbs me more is that Stefani is a Democrat supporter, after all she is from Kuba. What’s up with that? She might be shunned by show business if she were neutral or even a supporter of conservatives. It is hard to resist the politics of personal destruction of those who don’t agree with you. Hollywood and its minions under its spell lack all integrity and character.
how do you spell
r – a – t – i – o – n – a – l – i – z – e
Poor OBy getting outspent?? I’m shedding a tear. Obama makes me want to vomit.
I totally agree with jstein650!
Also, if anyone is ignorant enough to believe big business men and billionaires AREN’T donating BIG checks to Obama then they should seriously get passed their bias and double standards and do some research.
And lastly, aren’t all these lavish family vacations, days on the golf course, Hollywood hobnobbing and fundraisers showing the blue collar nobodies of America how “in touch” the Obama’s are with their financial state and struggles? No?
This is a small part of the multi-millions that have been raised for Obama at “Hollywood” fundraisers from Europe to Los Angeles. MPAA members have bundled millions & millions more since 2008. The campaign cash purchased the appointment of former MPAA attorneys to high positions within the
DOJ. Suddenly, the DOJ becomes the goon squad for the MPAA, bringing unprecedented criminal copyright prosecutions at the bidding of their MPAA masters. Under Obama, the power of the U.S. government, and protection from that power, is for sale to wealthy campaign donors and their cronies. How did we go from “ask what you can do for your country” to “show me the money.”
Gee, didn’t Obama do that last election? Now, someone else does it and you cry foul? It’s sad to get beat at your own game, isn’t it?
Oh but before this you were fine with the lop sided union donations, nothing self serving there, Dem hypocrite.
How much did George Soros funnel to the Obama campaign in ’08? How much has he funneled to it this year? Don’t be a hypocrite, you lose all credibility in an argument.
@Scott….So, no comment about Obama dropping public election funding in 2008 to go all out with “private donations”.
you conveniently forget the unions pumping in millions or Soros and other mega-doaners feeding the progressive machine.
Hypocrisy is thy name!
Wake up nd smell the reality – Obama gets how much (openly as well as secretly) from the likes of Soros, Buffett, Kaiser, Resnick, Spielberg, the Hollywood moguls, Immelt, union bosses, big business, big financiers and so many, many others?
There is as much if not more money behind the Democrat party than the Republicans..
I’m voting Obama, but even I agree with Joan Rivers. How can you call yourself a progressive and for the common man and rub elbows with the filthiest rich performers in the world? If we had a one term, 6 year Presidency, then presidents wouldn’t have to prostitute themselves for two years raising money.
So, Sally, you don’t support the Constitution? They got it all wrong?
Pretty unAmerican. Both your position and supporting the position of Rivers.
Obama ’12
its not like the framers set a 2 term limit and it can be amended. FDR was in there 4 times. I think its more important to change the Supreme Court from 9 to 16 or so since that number was set arbitrarily to begin with and doesnt reflect the increased size of the country and number of cases they should handle.
A big reason term limits were put in place after FDR was because he tried to steal to much power. He was so insane he tried to add a member to the Supreme Court just to get his laws upheld. Everyone agrees it was giant overreaching.
Great idea. Sixteen people would allow for ties, and the more people you have on any project always makes things go better. Let’s don’t be timid. How about 32 Supremes?
as for Obama rubbing elbows with hollywood donors, in this case the other side is willing to hit below the belt. Too much is at stake not to go all out. They swift boated john kerry, stole the election from Gore after turning away hundreds from the polls in florida on top of the supreme court debacle. So I agree so long as hes not receiving funds from prejudice, truly unscrupulous groups like Romney is willing to then Im for it. Romney is complaining about attacks from a Super PAC when the main reason theyre present in this election is because of him and the GOP. After what Bush did to this country we cannot let the GOP plunge us back into this mess that were finally getting out of. Obama gets blamed for a huge deficit when most of what was amassed during his presidency was paying off Bushes programs. How can you criticize any small spending when you were for the war in Iraq, for the military spending more than every nation on the planet combined and squandering much of it on depleted technology and contractors researching projects going no where, and for tax cuts for the wealthy who hoard most of it in offshore accounts? When the country was most prosperous the wealthy paid 3x what they do now in taxes.
I am NOT voting for Obama but could NOT agree with you more!
With this president, one year would have been enough.
many Millions of us said that exact same thing about Bush.
And its time to move past both Bush and Obama
Both failed us……Glad you agree!
If you feel this way, maybe you should really think about what you are saying, educate yourself on both candidates in a fair manner and rethink your vote.
If Obama did his job properly in his first 3 years he would not have to do all these fund raisers to get elected again. his actions would speak louder than words. Giving a loser an extra 2 years to screw up the country would only dig us into a deeper hole.
Obama’s doing a FANTASTIC job. Unfortunately, the goal posts move when it’s a black guy. If a white Republican accomplished a third of what Obama has (in spite of Democratic obstruction since we’re dreaming here), they’d be carving his face onto Mount Rushmore as we speak.
Want more proof? Even today, the same people who are still crying about Obama’s birth certificate are quiet as church mice about Mitt’s tax returns.
If that’s not a racist double standard, I don’t know what is.
Uhhhm….Any president would need to fund raise to pay for campaign advertising, no matter how successful and popular. And he’s running for a second four year term, not another two years.
But we get it. You don’t like him.
Obama’s never NOT been campaigning for re-election….
His entire first term has been campaigning for a second term, that’s why he hasn’t really gotten anything done except Blame Bush and the Republicans, even for the period from 2008-2010, when the Dems controlled BOTH houses of Congress. Ooohhhh……, that’s also when the Economy went DEEPEST into the toilet.
“If Obama did his job properly in his first 3 years he would not have to do all these fund raisers to get elected again.”
Please point me in the direction of ONE president who didn’t raise re-election money. Your statement is a ludicrous, bizarre, brain-dead partisan fantasy that in no way reflects reality, Ashcraft, and I hope you’re not actually dumb enough to believe what you wrote.
…and where’s all the self-proclaimed anti-war of this party? Thought we were going to be out of every war we were in. No so. Now we’re in even more and Gitmo isn’t closed either. OB had a chance to ram through a gay agenda when he had Congress, but didn’t. Could this be called pandering? These people are out of touch with reality. Violence in the cities is 10x worse and people everywhere are 10x poorer. Enjoy the crumpets and tea, hypocrites.
funny, you talk about joan rivers comments about how its wrong to rub elbows with the rich. well these people pay 25k just to hear the obamas speak are not exactly poor. all the people in hollywood that attend these fundraisers for obama, are the very same people that she is talking about. she is rich and most of the hollywood crowd is.
I’d give big money if the First Lady told all the children present that MOST children don’t live such privileged lives. But that would male the little kiddos cry. And piss off the parents with the checkbooks.
Nah, those little children would just have a fund raiser for the less privileged then go on their merry way and forget about the underclass.
Not enough
more radical, ultraleftist hollyweird extremist fundraisers….pathetic.
Hollywood. So just regular America…
Someone once said that we pay these Hollywood people big bucks to act like people that they are not, and then we seem surprised that they are not what we think they are. So true.
I’m always amazed how the left tries so hard to promote an oppressive society, which they would also have to live in. It’s illogical, but then everything the does or thinks is illogical
Some of the strangest most dysfunctional people in the world inhabit Hollywood. Am I the only one who finds it unsettling our Prez and First Lady are snuggling up with them? Half the country are living on food stamps and Michelle is hanging out with the ridiculously privileged. Obama has lost my vote.
You’re an idiot if you equate raising money from some musicians/movie stars to the President being out of touch. Yes, it would be better if he didn’t have to raise money from the richest Americans. But that’s the way campaigning goes.
Keep in mind that Mitt Romney has raised nearly $100 million MORE than President Obama in just the last THREE MONTHS. Billionaire oil tycoons and CEOs are giving to Mitt so they can have less regulations and keep more money for themselves. President Obama is campaigning ending the tax breaks for the richest Americans (like Mitt Romney and himself) and keeping the tax breaks for the middle class.
Don’t look at a couple Hollywood fundraisers and decide your vote on that. Pay attention to the actual issues.
The problem with the Obamas is they have forgotten where they came from and they are no better than anyone else. For Michelle Obama to say that she has hung out with Kings and Queens is funny considering Queen Elizabeth and her husband can’t stand the two of them. In fact were they invited to Kate and Williams wedding? No. The people overseas have better sense. They are quite able to see thru these two grifters, classless people. It is a true shame that other people can’t.
obama has lost me too….can’t believe he’s fallen so low.
The problem in raising money is not Citizens United, its Obama, you will be just fine when roles are reversed and Citizens United is bringing in the money for a Democrat
You clearly don’t understand the liberal disgust with Citizens United.
Labor Unions are supposed to be able to donate millions of dollars to promote Union causes. In their mind, businesses should not have the right to promote business causes, like having a president that actually understands business and can promote business.
Citizens United is a gross violation of the Liberals right to unconstrained money. The fact a couple of rich republicans, decided to donate some of their money, to try to offset the liberal agenda and help represent the great majority of americans who are conservative by nature, according to them is just unfair.
I say – Citizens United is OUTSTANDING. At last, some force to push back against Slacker Union thugs.
Scene em. Talked to em. Hate em.
They think THEY have the right to screw everyone else to feather bed their finances.
Hey! Let’s tax movie tickets at 40%! Movies profits at 55% and anytime they outsource overseas, we add a 40% import “fee”. Hollywood doesn’t pay their fair share.
thats a great idea lets introduce the movie star profit tax anything a movie star makes has an 85% movie tax proceeds go to everybody on welfare!!!
They would just pass the extra cost on to you the consumer or the exhibitors who would jack up concession prices or make due with one less employee. Taxes are passed on to the middle class and kill jobs.
Yeah but, if ticket prices went up that much, people would just stop going to the movies. Movie going is optional. It’s the first thing that people stop doing when times are tough. I’m curious, with all of this recession talk, why hasn’t Hollywood pushed for lower ticket prices to help out struggling American families? You know, since they are so compassionate and all.
Hear, Hear! Will Smith had been saying in an interview that he felt like he should pay more, didn’t mind paying more to support his country, but when told that the tax in France was going to 75% if you made over a million, suddenly backtracked and said something to the effect, ‘Whoa, that’s different!….God bless America!’ Funny how these Hollywood elites all seem to have tax consultants to show them how to shelter their money from taxes, eh?
Faux News? Faux like fake? Do you mean MSNBC?
Liberals like to call Fox News “Faux News” even though they are more balanced than any other news outlet there is. They always shows both sides of the argument. Meanwhile over at MSNBC it is nothing but hate filled rants against the right.
And in fact Fox News has a lot more Libertarians and Moderates instead of conservatives and Republicans. But the left would have you believe otherwise.
Sorry, “Dave,” “Libertarians” are still Republicans. And they’re not called “moderates” anymore they’re RINOs. And still Republicans.
Love the semantic games you Cons try to play. Your mistake is that you think everybody is as dumb as you are to try to get away with them.
Yep, who hired Juan Williams after NPR fired him for not toeing liberal line? Yep….. Fox News, and they actually let him voice his opinion, along with people like Kirsten Powers, Bob Beckel, James Carville, etc.
I used to love your music Gwen. WTF happened to you?
Obama and spouse are fighting for the middle class.
I guess that’s why they spend so much time
In Hollywood.
Obama needs to spend more time in Chicago’s
Southside with his buddy “The Mayor”.
You are right on!!!!!
Another fun Obama event with the 1% limousine liberals of Hollywood.
That’s the limousine liberals of Hollywood who outsource the jobs of Hollywood to Canada, UK, Australia, Czech Republic, etc.
Ironic how Obama takes the money. He receives money that was made on Hollywood studios saving by sending jobs overseas.
For those who think corporate America only donates to Republicans, you should really check that out before you make stupid accusations. opensecrets.org
Wait – I thought he was going to stop the seas from rising, and “make the world love us again.” That’s pretty superheroic to me.
It’s weird to me that our First Lady is hanging out at a fundraiser at Gwen freakin’ Stefani’s house. Why don’t the Obama’s EVER go to fundraisers in CA or NY that aren’t held by “celebrities?” It’s such a turn off and shows as much as they preach, they don’t understand what Americans are really going through or what we really need.
So the money donated by rich republicans is considered unfair while the donations from the Unions and the Soros-types out there is considered hypocritically fair. Unfortunately the likes of Soros & his money is losing interest in Obama and the downslide is starting. Panic’d yet?
Lets teach these Hollywood Libs a lesson and refuse to see their movies and crap shows!!!
Obama should do more for the young folks that kill each other in Chi Town. He could go and walk through those neighborhoods and talk to the kids and set a good caring example. Who knows what even the sammest thing he might say would wake those kids up. At least he could look like he might actually care about them even if that is not true.
Obama Care taxes Drug cos, Medical devise cos, and Health Insurance cos, to the tune of $5 billion per year. Let’s tax motion pictures and the music industry $5 billion per year. See how they like it. Hollywood and the music industry are two big phonies.
Let’s see if the movie industry and the music industry could withstand a $5 billion tax on their income like the Medical Device, Drug COs, and the Health Insurance Industries have to withstand from the 2,000 page obama care fiasco.
That’s not a “O” it’s a “0″ as in ZERO.
