EXCLUSIVE: In a competitive situation, NBC has bought a light drama executive produced by country star Miranda Lambert. The deal brings both halves of country music’s “it” couple to NBC, with Lambert joining her husband, The Voice co-star Blake Shelton, whose relationship with the network played a role in the project landing there. Chad Hodge is set to write the project, which is inspired by Lambert’s experience growing up and centers on a couple who run a highly successful detective agency while also trying to raise two teenagers. Aaron Kaplan of Kapital Entertainment, Hodge and Lambert are executive producing with Lambert’s manager, Marion Kraft. The project was set up at ABC Family last year with a different writer.

What happened to Scott Kaufer???
I’ll watch it as long as it’s not rednecky.
Dude if this isn’t a hit in red-state yahoo America, NBC is doing it wrong. Especially if it’s actually set in TX like the real-life couple. Put it at the 10 pm hour.
Stuff like this is what NBC needs to bounce back, not more oh-so-hip, no-laugh-track, ratings-challenged cult comedies.
Maybe they can hit another home run like “Friday Night Lights!” Wait…what?
Nothing wrong with those. I consider myself hip, and can watch those shows all day without stopping. NBC has all the best show. I basically only watch cult comedies.
I think the writer Chad Hodge is a genius and he will get the job done right. Can’t wait.
I’d try it . But if its a red necky show with a lot of twang- it goes off fast
Another PI drama? Put me to sleep!
Are there any PI dramas on network television? I know they develop a slew every year but if there are any private investigator shows on network TV, I’ve missed it…
Im from a little town only about 45 minutes from Lindale and i think it will be a great series as long as its done n texas!! Cuddo’s to miranda…just love her and would love to be one of the epesodes
