Newly-minted U.S. Olympic champions’ victory lap on TV continues. In an interview on NBC’s Today, swimmer Ryan Lochte said he is considering a gig on ABC’s biggest reality series. “I’m definitely looking towards Dancing With The Stars and The Bachelor, so we’ll see what happens,” he said. Meanwhile, Oprah Winfrey will devote an episode of her OWN program Next Chapter to gymnast Gabby Douglas, who will be featured on the Aug. 26 show. There is a lot of media interest in the U.S. Olympic medalists from London, with a number of them likely to line up reality TV gigs. Champion Sanya Richards-Ross stars in a reality pilot, which was just picked up by WEtv.

If anybody deserves a reality show… at least these folks DID SOMETHING to have one! Plus..wouldnt it be interesting to see the four years leading up to the next olympics? You know.. when most of these folk fall off the media map?!
Youd think abc woulve wanted to capitalize on the newly minted olympics stars on the fall dwts like they did before instead of rehashing contestants…letting the popularity lapse…abc should sign lochte for bachelor immediately..as jezebel article stated..hes so into himself hed be great..and his reality show is forthcoming
Lochte would be best cast on DWTS. He may look great in a Speedo, but once he opens his mouth, it’s clear there’s not a lot going on upstairs. On second thought, that would make him a natural for Bachelor.
