Robin Roberts says the break was good for her and she’s rested and ready to go. “My needle was past E when I left here a couple of weeks ago, but I’ve got a full tank, so watch out,” she told Good Morning America viewers yesterday. The GMA co-host left mid-show in late July, saying she was taking time off because she was “not feeling too well.” Roberts was diagnosed in June with the bone marrow disease MDS, previously known as preleukemia. While she was gone Roberts says she continued her pre-treatment for a bone marrow transplant and took a trip to Italy for a friend’s birthday celebration. She’ll begin a longer medical leave in a few weeks when she undergoes surgery for the transplant.

Good Morning Robin, The whole Janson-Riggs family is praying for you. We have been watching you since Bryant Gumble stole Jane Pauleys spot on the other network. That upset me and I switched to GMA and have been watching ever since. I can’t even remember how long ago that was. Your GMA family is part of our family everyday. My daughters and I call each other when things of interest come on your show and say “Are you watching GMA?” Of course we say yes, and then the conversing begins, lol Anyways we all here in NC wish you a speedy recovery bc we miss you on GMA. Robin we love you and pray everyday for you. See you soon my Dear morning Anchor, Sincerly, Kimberly Janson
