Darren Aronofsky‘s Noah revealed another tidbit today via social media — this photo posted on Reddit of Russell Crowe as the title character of the New Regency-Paramount Pictures biblical epic. Previous revelations on Twitter have included several castings and a photo of the ark under construction somewhere in what looks like rural New York and the director’s musings about the project being a childhood dream come true. Noah is slated to open in North America on March 28, 2014. (Photo by Niko Tavernise)

“Right… What’s a cubit?”
Well-played. Well-played indeed.
Looks like Russell Crowe as “Russell Crowe”.
Hahahaha, spot on X).
Who trimmed Noah’s beard? And was Little Joe around to give him that great cut? Unless they do a total send up on this hilarious old tale, this movie is going to suckola big time.
Little Joe! Funny stuff!
He looks like Orson Wells. The old Orson Wells.
Two of my favorites.
Crowe. Aranofsky.
Can’t wait.
He does not look 600 years old.
Huh? How exactly do you age someone that much?
How does someone actually live that long? Wait, this is a fiction story right?
Wow… Russell looks great as Noah… rugged, determined… I’m not much of a believer in biblical veracity, but a good story is a good story … true, allegory or science fiction, so I’m looking forward to Aronofsky’s take.
At least they’ll only have to find one other ass to put on the ark.
OHHHH SNAP!!! Very funny!
I can’t fucking wait.
I thought this was a pic of him as Robin Hood.
Two thoughts: The movie will stink. Will do very well in the Bible Belt and render a nice payday for those involved.
“Will do very well in the Bible Belt and render a nice payday for those involved.” Yeah, ’cause the director of ‘Requiem for a Dream’ and ‘Black Swan’ is an obvious slave to the Bible Belt agenda.
Based on Aronofsky’s previous works, this film is more likely to be banned in the Bible belt, than embraced. Expect “Last Temptation of Christ” howls of protest.
Yeah, it’ll be a big flop. You know, like nobody goes to see movies about Rome or gladiators any more either. Oh, wait…
So many genius negative comments here. Crowe looks great as Noah and that is to be expected.Crowe looks like Crowe..well who should he look like? Wigand? White? Maximus? Nash? Aubrey? Braddock? Wade?It looks to me as if Crowe is playing an Old Testament figure and NOT Robin Hood.Yes a sexy, attractive Noah.
Apparently the commenters that are saying this will suck must have never seen a Darren Aronofsky film before. Lol
Its about time! Most of the big budget movies have something Biblical in them- so why not do it right! To the naysayers jealousy always show up it can’t help itself.
Can’t wait to see this!
Hey J dawg: The Fountain. That is all.
