YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love this show!!!!
Jon Taffer is like Gordon Ramsay but on steroids. He yells for the sake of yelling. Entertaining stuff.
This is a great show with a dynamic talent! John is smart and entertaining. The show is both informative and entertaining! Well produced. I love hearing about the science of the bar business, myself much like these business owners thought it was much easier and John really brings his business sense into the program. Congrats on Season 3!
Yeah, but darn near everyone goes belly up anyway!!
A lot of the bars reject his advice, many seem to immediately change their names back to the original. It’s interesting to call the bar as the show plays and talk to the staff, find out what the REAL after-show truth is. The local papers run stories also, probably the shoe’s PR arm churning up interest.
The Pirate-themed bar he changed to a place called Corporate Bar & Grill is better than the Mad Men episode “The Suitcase”.
I love how pissed he gets… Although I wish they would do the updates within the same episode.
I do like the series, even when John is an ass, but they do need to show how the bars fared after the change and especially highlight the bars that switched back. Have an entire episode where they go back to the bars under cover and see how well they stuck to the new business model.
Love this show! It’s awesome. Thanks for renewing for 3rd season!! It has alot of life lessons in it. Mr. Tapper is fantastic.
I liked Jon better on the first season. Why can’t he be firm but respectful? To add on to that now the expert chefs and bartenders come in yelling. I loved the episode where the bar owner tuned him out completely and told Jon I will listen when you talk to me like a man and stop all the yelling. I am the owner. I loved it. Everybody don’t want to see an imitation of Gordon Ramsey or Simon Cowell that everyone is now trying to imitate. Love you Jon but tone it down a bit especially in front of the clients.
Someone asked “Why can’t he be Respectful”? He starts out respectful, but sometimes Respectful doesn’t work. Some people only get it when you beat them over the head with it. Sometimes something he’s telling someone “Respectfully” is so incredibly obvious; a real nobrainer, and the people he’s dealing with just don’t get it. The bottom line is what they’re doing isn’t working. He’s the expert, yet they consistently act like they know more than he does. If your business is failing so badly that you have to call in an expert, why would you not listen to the expert? He’s a better man than I, because I would just flat out quit when they refused to listen. My attitude would be, “If you don’t want my help, fine. I’m out of here.”
Best show on the planet! I want to buy the season DVD.
I think John Taffer is a genius; professional, meticulous and well focused in turning failing businesses and amateur owners into success stories, provided they don’t behave like self-centered knuckle heads and open the empty space between their ears. Most of these rebellious dogs that don’t listen are doomed to fail and they deserve to get their ass kicked big time. Jon keep up the great work and keep on pointing out that mediocrity will never turn into success. I love your show and your staff; your knowledge is well-proven. I have worked in some great bar/restaurants in NYC (Maxwell’s Plum) when I was younger and I wish I had the capital to do it right: I would love to own a small, manageable, high end and above all professionally run bar/restaurant under my watchfull eye.
I love this show cannot wait till it comes back on yes
Great TV show, so glad to hear that it was renewed for a third season. Amazing how some of these owners refuse change or dismiss John at first. If my bar was failing I’d let the guy punch me in the gut for all the stupid stuff I’d done if it meant turning the corner.
Best of luck with the show. Please follow up on Piratz Tavern! Those guys were morons!
We need this guy to come to barrhead Alberta and help bring the life back to one of the barz here called the Dallas it used to be a happening bar till they got a new owner and new manager they won’t spend money to make money
