24 alumna Sprague Grayden and David Costabile will co-star opposite Mark Strong, Lennie James and James Ransone in the AMC drama pilot Low Winter Sun. Ernest Dickerson is directing the pilot, from Endemol Studios and AMC Studios. Written/executive produced by Chris Mundy, the project, based on based on the 2006 British miniseries, is described as a story of murder, deception, revenge and corruption that starts with the murder of a cop by fellow Detroit detective Frank Agnew (Strong). Seemingly the perfect crime, in reality the murder activates forces that will forever alter that detective’s life and pull him into the heart of the Detroit underworld. Grayden, repped by AKA Talent Agency and Untitled Entertainment, will play the fierce and ruthless Elena, Damon’s (Ransone) wife who wants to extend the family’s crime networks. She has an upcoming arc on USA’s White Collar.

I miss the killing so much. This doesn’t sound good at all.
She’s a horrible actress… poor show.
you have no idea what you are talking about. she is brilliant! this is going to be incredible
Awesome pilot script!! This will definitely
go to series – and it will be terrific!!
Don’t hold her work on 24 against. She has done some great work in other shows. Most important, other than 24, it is hard to catch her acting. She is always natural and believable.
I don’t know what the pilot script is like, but they have a great cast of seasoned character actors here. terrific casting!
Hopefully this means David is done with his stint on “Suits.” I like him as an actor, but this season has been horrible thanks to his character. Suits used to be a lot of fun even during the more serious episodes, but this season has just been one big drama fest, and not in a good way.
NotQuiteRight, I like this season of Suits, and David Costabile is a wonder addition to the show. I agree the first season was stellar.
Big fan of Sprague’s from her work on Jericho and Sons of Anarchy. Looking forward to seeing her and Lennie both back on TV again.
