Tony Shalhoub is set to co-star opposite Chris Smith and Kal Penn in Rob Greenberg’s single-camera comedy pilot for CBS. The project, from CBS TV Studios and the Tannenbaum Co., centers on a young guy (Smith) who finds camaraderie living among the more experienced guys he meets in a short-term rental complex, including Gil (Penn) and Frank (Shalhoub). According to TVLine, Frank is a four-time divorcé who still fancies himself a ladies man and dwells in the complex’s bachelor pad. Emmy-winning former Monk star Shalhoub did Greg Daniels’ comedy pilot Friday Night Dinner this past season.

LOVE LOVE LOVE funny man Tony Shalhoub and am so glad to see him in another show.
I can’t wait for this! Such a great cast so far
Anyone remember the Comedy he did in the 90s with Neil Patrick Harris called ‘Stark Raving Mad’? I loved it. Just remembered it. I think it was on NBC.
Based on the 6 episodes I saw so far, SRM was an awesome demented piece of sitcom noir. They have the whole series on YouTube.
no. this show seems terrible.
It smells like TV Land’s “The Exes”.
No idea how I would watch this. I’m not good with big differences in a actor/actress’ parts between shows/movies. To me, Tony Shaloub will only ever be Adrian Monk, OCD, private consultant to the SFPD!
Single-camera comedy on CBS? Good luck with that.
Who knows, Worst Week made it to 16 episodes which is a lot better than most shows in recent history. Maybe it’s time they finally get a single-cam and help it stick.
Waste of talent. Saw him in Golden Boy on Broadway, should do more dramatic roles.
