That might actually make a little bit of moneyball
-RnsW
I thought Eastwood retired from acting after Gran Torino. Clearly this is evidence to the contrary but I could have sworn I read something to that effect at the time.
I read the same thing. I guess he changed his mind. I wonder how many people will think this movie is about baseball? Especially when you consider that baseball isn’t even about baseball.
I love this. I think Eastwood never gives us a bad performance.
I love Clint, like Adams, even Timberlake, but this made me cringe. bad jokes. cliche’ factory. Nothing new here. too bad.
looks like a fine movie… but i can’t buy Justin Timberlake as a leading man. I’m probably alone in this, but I’m a child of the 90′s and I’ll ever only picture him with blonde highlights, dating Britney. I’m sure this movie will do well regardless.
Johnny, I always see Justin Timberlake’s persona in all his performances. So, I never take him seriously.
Nothing appealing about this movie. At all.
I completely agree. Too bad.
Another trailer that shows us there are far worse things that can happen to your film than it not getting made. At least the title isn’t a gerund/noun combo. Was STEALING HOME taken?
Say it ain’t so… but sure looks like Clint Eastwood throws like a girl. I hate bad sports mechanics in sports movies. oh well.
Hopefully JT doesn’t look as bad… but his running in In Time was pretty weak, so not expecting much.
Pretty much every actor should take running lessons from Tom Cruise. Say what you may about Cruise, but that man makes running convincing in his action films.
He pitched with his left hand on set that day also….looked more natural lefthanded…perhaps that’s the effect they wanted!
So is this where I say I won’t see this movie because Eastwood supports Romney, or am I going to be an adult and accept that other people are allowed to have opposing views from me but still respect them?
I’m a fan of Eastwood’s work and since his political views aren’t offensive (I’m pretty sure he’s against eating babies), I’m planning on seeing this.
I’m more against Justin Timberlake’s “acting” career than whatever Clint’s political views are.
Looks great fun,, cant wait to see it, i may even fly to US to see it…
This looks better than I was expecting!
Gran Torino should’ve been it for Clint as an actor. This will be a disappointing coda to a wonderful career as an actor. Stay behind the camera, Clint.
Straight cheese. Pure cheddar.
Save me a seat.
How can you not like this? Yes, Clint Eastwood is old. So what? He’s not playing a pitcher!
Thank you Hollywood for continuing to force Timberlake down our throats. I’ve not heard one person say they love his performances or his presence in the film world.
All the snarkers can say what you will, but a bad Clint Eastwood movie is still better than most of the garbage being released each week.
Get out and enjoy him while you can – he’s the last true Hollywood icon that’s consistent.
May look cheesy in spots, but I find he looks and sounds better than in Gran Torino. The Academy’s gotta give him an Oscar for acting before he dies. If Whoopi Goldberg can win for “Ghost”, I’m amazed Clint didn’t get it long before this, especially for “Unfogiven”.
I’ll be all over this on opening week.
What, Hilary Swank wasn’t available? Put me in the ‘I love Clint’ camp, but…I feel like I’ve seen this before. Many times. Looks like Million Dollar Baby meets The Scout. If I see it it’s because it’s a really slow weekend.
Clint never disappoints. So he’s my father figure, get over it. Go Clint!
I just want to see Clint on a horse one more time…
Me too Tina. Come on Clint, one last western…
The man has made a:
1) Boxing movie
2) War movie
3) Fighting movie
4) Cop movie(s)
5) Space movie
6) last, but not least, great westerns
7) TV series
why not a sports movie?!
It is so refreshing to have a movie Legend who understands political issues and has the nerve to express his opinions. Thank you Clint Eastwood!
