TruTV has ordered a 10-episode fifth season of its unscripted series Black Gold to air this winter. Produced by Thom Beers’ FremantleMedia-owned Original Prods., Black Gold follows roughneck crews in the oil fields of Texas. Black Gold is coming off its most watched season to date – it averaged 1.6 million viewers in Season 4.

Sadly, I watch trutv regularly. I have never heard of this show. How could it be going into season 5?
This show is amazing! You need to watch because these guys work so hard and it is so good to see them back. They are all handsome and have great personalities. Watch season four and you will see what I mean.
TRU has done an absolutely horrible job of promoting this show. Pretty much non-existant.
“Black Gold” is one of my favorite reality shows. Brandon and Cheston are fun to watch and they definitely have the looks. Somebody should cast one of these oil rig bucks in an action movie.

Absolutely LOVE love LOVE this show! It’s a great show! If you haven’t seen it nor heard of it.. then you truly are not a TruTv watcher! Cheston and Brandon keep you coming back for more.. not just to see what’s going to happen next between them..but how sexy they are! They should do a reality series of them off the rig.

Never seen a bigger group of women on tv before, so much drama, it’s not like that on a real rig
Brandon’s psychotic and needs to grow up. Are his outbursts staged? Any man that claims to be so tough and can’t even fix his own bowl of cereal has issues. Cheston needs to completely stay away from him and live his own life.

After this weeks show I am convinced this is scripted! Brandon stopped by police, he’s been drinking, no license, he says you’re going to send me to jail and cop says no, you can go!!!! This isn’t reality, it’s drama! Sad, because the first season was good! Will watch no more!
