Former NBCUniversal Digital Entertainment president Vivi Zigler has been named President, Digital & Shine 360 for Shine America.
Zigler will oversee all branded entertainment, licensing, digital and live experiences for Shine America. She also will formally launch Shine 360° in the US. Shine America’s SVP and current head of digital, David Anderson, will now report to Zigler
First established in 2010, Shine 360° is the global commercial and rights management division of the Shine Group, responsible for developing the company’s brands across sponsorship and advertiser partnerships, digital and interactive, retail and consumer products, as well as live experiences. The Los Angeles branch will join offices in Sydney, Paris, London and Stockholm. “We live in a time when content has to be done in multiple genres on multiple platforms, and Vivi is a rare breed executive who can help us extend our content into the digital space,” said Shine America CEO Carl Fennessy to whom Zigler will report.
Zigler spent the last 19 years at NBCUniversal and was named President, NBCUni Digital Entertainment in June 2008. She left the company this past June when Robert Hayes has brought in as EVP, Digital Media. Zigler, who also has marketing, ad sales and current programming executive background, didn’t consider switching areas. “You can’t leave digital, it’s the future,” she said. Zigler said she was attracted by Shine because “it uses all the crayons in the box. It’s both a global and a local company, and it understands how to develop properties with multi-platform engagement from the get-go.”
While at NBCU, Zigler won five Interactive Emmy Awards. Before switching to digital, she served as EVP Current Programs for NBC Entertainment, SVP of Marketing & Advertising Services for The NBC Agency and SVP, Marketing, Bravo. Zigler also formerly served as SVP, Advertising Services for The NBC Agency and VP, Affiliate Advertising & Promotion Services, NBC Entertainment.

Congratulations. She deserves it.
A fantastic hire! Vivi is a class act and one of the smartest folks in television.
Have had the pleasure of working with Vivi. She’s a visionary who also happens to be a wonderful person. Shine is lucky to have her!
Rarely, do we get to see such a wonderful executive receive such a positive response on Deadline. I have one word to describe Vivi, and that’s CLASS! Other comments above have captured the true essence of who she is as a leader and a person. The words Visionary , Class-act, fantastic PERSON, amazing mentor/boss and Innovator are just some of the terms that embody who she is. NBCU lost one of the GREAT ones here, and happy to see Shine identified what a gem she really is. Congrats Vivi, this is an amazing opportunity to move out of the politics and focus on the creative and future!
Vivi is one of the smartest executives I ever had the pleasure of working with. NBC’s loss is Shine’s BIG gain.
Yay Vivi! This is one of the few times you can be absolutely sure that all the booster posts are 100% genuine. Glad to see her in a great new role.
ViVi way to go! Shine you have won the lottery, she is an exceptional executive and leader.
One of the nicest, classiest, and most thoughtful execs I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. I learned a lot from Vivi, and I am sure she will sparkle in this new role at Shine… congrats, Veev!
Vivi was the heart and soul of the NBC brand for years… started in stations, then the network, then digital… one of the dumbest things Comcast ever did was let her get away… she was the last true vestige of Brandon T DNA in the joint…
Congrats Vivi… do deserve this and so much more!
