Warner Bros and WWE Studios will coproduce a Scooby-Doo animated feature that will involve a mystery at WrestleMania. This seems a natural, since most Scooby-Doo episodes involved one of the gang pulling off the mask of a criminal who opines he would have gotten away with it if not for those pesky kids. Well, wrestlers are big on wearing masks, and the WWE has lined up its grapplers Triple H, John Cena, Kane, The Miz, Brodus Clay, Santino Marella, Sin Cara, AJ, and WWE chairman/CEO Vince McMahon to lend their voices and appear in animated form in the film. Warner Bros Home Entertainment will distribute the film through Blu-ray, DVD, VOD and digital download, and the WWE will use its considerable resources to promote the effort, said WWE Studios President Michael Luisi.

I kind of wish they’d go more the Roger Rabbit/Space Jam route with this one. Set it in the live-action world of Wrestlemania with the real wrestlers, but have Scooby animated.

AJ to get animated and voice a scooby doo movie!? This is awesome! I am excited for the others too, but how cool this must be for nerdy type girl like AJ who 6 months ago would never have been put in a project like this and now is bigger then most of the guys on the WWE roster.

I have a very bad feeling that this crossover is NOT going to work. As a fan of both WWF/E and Scooby-Doo, I am looking forward to this. If this succeeds, I’ll forgive WWE for any future stupidity.

How are they NOT going to have CM Punk in this. They are missing a golden opportunity for CM Punk to talk to Shaggy about becoming Straight Edge.
It would have to be something special to come close to the recent Bree Olson and Bobbi Starr version of this classic tale. The gold standard in Scooby Doo adaptions.
