A&E Network has picked up its flagship drama series, The Glades, for a 13-episode fourth season to premiere in 2013. Starring Matt Passmore, Glades was the first A&E scripted series to stick and helped establish the network’s scripted brand. It was recently used to launch A&E’s breakout Longmire, which has already been renewed for a second season, also for a 2013 debut. In it third season, The Glades averaged 4.1 million total viewers for premiere episodes in Live+7, up 5% from Season 2.
A&E is currently in preproduction on the new scripted drama series Bates Motel, slated for a 2013 premiere. Glades, produced by Fox TV Studios, also stars Kiele Sanchez, Carlos Gómez and Michelle Hurd. Creator Clifton Campbell executive produces with Gary Randall.

I am thrilled to learn “The Glades” is returning! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this show! It seems like forever since it has been on. I also loved ” Longmire”. So very happy A&E is bringing both shows back!!!
I agree this is a great show as is Longmire. At least A&E keeps their shows unlike other networks.

Is it 100% sure that 13 episodes were ordered? Because last year everyone claimed the same and in the end we got only 10 episodes this summer.

I enjoy Glades and Longmire… they’re entertaining and a good reason, if maybe the only reasons, to watch A&E. Both have relatively unknown yet charismatic stars, entertaining scripts and as a result, I’ve watched each and every episode of each, live or via DVR… something I can’t say about network fare.
That’s the truest statement. The regular networks are going to the dogs. Fallen in love with these two shows. Hope they keep up the good work.!!!!!

I am DELIGHTED that A&E is renewing The Glades for another season! More episodes than the measly 10 we were granted for the last one, please? It’s a great show, very colorful, cleverly written with unusual plotlines, and Matt Passmore is incredibly awesome among a cast of amazing actors! Part of what enhances Jim’s appeal (aside from his cockiness and comedic timing) is his charming and heartfelt devotion to Callie. To listen to those comments whining about Callie’s ‘whining’ is to miss the point; a new ‘love’ would weaken his character and make it less appealing. If he can switch his devotion to another character readily, how real is his apparent love for Callie? I believe in him… and in her.

Love the glades and wish the first 3 seasons would be shown occasionally. Other reruns are shown and would be better than things like Storage Wars!
I’m delighted that “The Glades” is coming back for a fourth season! I love this show. What I DON’T like is the introduction of Jennifer in the story line! First of all, Jim and Callie refrained for so long from getting together because of her “dedication” to her marriage vows. Then once you got them together, you had to bring this witch into the picture! For one thing, she dresses entirely too provocatively for her POSITION to be taken seriously, and for another, she has no morals when she KNOWS the feelings that exist between Jim and Callie, but she still pursues him…. Despite the fact that she’s already fooling around with someone else’s man. It’s like she’s just trying to PROVE she’s the more desirable woman or something. Jim should be smart enough to SEE THROUGH THIS CRAP and leave his heart where it belongs– with Callie!! As far as people saying Callie is a whiner, I don’t see it that way…. I see her as a STRONG woman who has been dealt some bad blows and has been trying to make the best of what life has dealt her. Since when is it a CRIME to TALK about your problems or seek support and comfort from others? Is that what you people call whining? Then I guess you should thank your lucky stars and the man above that you have been SO BLESSED that your life has been so perfect that you’ve never needed a shoulder to lean on or a compassionate ear to listen to you!

I love the Glades, and as far as I am concerned, it is the best show on. The relationship between. Jim and Callie is what keeps it exciting. If Jim drops Callie, and Starts seeing that other gal it will ruin the show.

I love, live this show. Can’t wait for it to come back on! Don’t mess up Jim and Callie’s story together after it took so long to finally get together! Please!
I miss the days of full seasons of TV shows.
In the 60′s a season was 28-32 episodes.
In the 2000′s a season was 22-24 episodes.
Now in the 2010′s a season of nearly everything other than NCIS and CSI is 10-18 episodes and even with that they need to take a long mid-season break.
WTF? None of these actors are A-list. The Glades certainly doesn’t have the post-production work of something like Spartacus. It just seems like today’s actors have become like todays sports stars: Too arrogant to work a full season.
Short seasons, long mid-season breaks, longer post-season breaks…. It just leaves me realizing how much I *don’t* need to watch TV. If I’m going to wait 10 months to see one episode I might as well wait just a little long and download the entire season. This distribution model is just shooting themselves in the foot.
I ADORE The Glades! I cannot WAIT for the new season to start! Anybody know when the premiere will air? I can’t wait! I don’t wanna miss it! I don’t care what people say, I LOVE Callie and I love her and Jim, together. I REALLY hope she says “yes”!

Sigh! Glad to see “The Glades” coming back for season 4, but I miss the good ol’ days when a season consisted of 26 new episodes with 26 repeats. Now, it’s 13 new episodes, with quadpeats and a year plus to wait for a new season.
Matt and Kiele are perfect together. Great show. Can’t wait for premiere.
