Starz’s drama Boss, which recently received an endorsement from Oprah Winfrey, drew a total of 1.2 million viewers last weekend. That was up 20% from the previous weekend and a bit over the show’s second-season premiere.
Airing against Boss in the Friday 10 PM slot, the Season 3 premiere of Syfy‘s Haven averaged 2 million total viewers, up 6% from the July 2011 Season 2 premiere, and 899,000 adults 25-54, up 13% and the series’ best delivery in that demo in two years.

Those Boss numbers must be cumulative.
On another ratings site, it shows the 9pm airing as having drawn .409 million viewers.
Yeah… this was obviously just taken from some press release. Friday numbers was .41 mil… up slightly but nothing to right home about. Oprah’s endorsement was a couple weeks ago… didn’t help. She can’t help her own network.
Personally… I rather watch the real politics that’s going on… just as much drama.
In Boss you get to see the motivations of politicians, be it money, power or sex. Real life is much more scary. This election will cost $2 billion and we have no idea what the winning candidate have sold to pay for his spot in that chair.
Boss is a great show.

I agree that Boss is the best show on TV now. It is brilliant! Kudos to Kelsey Grammer for an outstanding job of acting. After playing lovable Frasier Crane for 20 years, he plays the despicable Tom Kane to perfection – which is no easy task. Thank you, Starz, for creating such an amazing show!

Boss is brilliant! It needs to be moved to Sunday night in late fall or winter when the business class is much more likely to be watching TV. Boss’ core audience type is usually out doing something on a late summer Friday night. Give the show a better slot and it will thrive.
