The multi-year pact ensures that Cablevision customers will continue to receive programming from CBS-owned stations, Showtime, Smithsonian Channel and CBS Sports Network. In addition, the “broad agreement” will include “new services Cablevision will launch in the coming months, including Showtime Anytime and CBS prime time shows on demand,” says Cablevision EVP Mac Budill. The companies said they would not disclose terms of their deal. The agreement is most important for the New York area, where most of Cablevision’s 3.3M customers receive WCBS. CBS EVP Martin Franks called Cablevision “a cornerstone partner in our flagship market.” It also affects parts of Philadelphia and Denver where CBS has stations and Cablevision owns some systems.

Awesome! I was hoping this would happen. CBS makes it way too difficult to catch up if your a few episodes behind on Good Wife or HIMYM so this is great news! Also looking forward to the Showtime Anytime starting. Any word on Cablevision working on a deal with Tribune so we can get The CW back?
How selfish of both parties to not reach a compromise I don’t care what the issues are; since either side are interested in the PAYING Consumer give us our CW channel back SHAME ON BOTH OF YOU!!!!
