CBS‘ reality mainstay Big Brother brushed off a challenge from ABC’s similarly themed The Glass House to deliver another solid ratings performance and earn a renewal. CBS has picked up the voyeuristic unscripted series for a 15th cycle to air next summer. This summer’s edition, which concludes tonight with a 90-minute finale, is averaging 6.8 million viewers, 2.5/8 in adults 18-49.
Big Brother, which premiered in 2000, spans multiple platforms, with full-length episodes and highlight clips available at CBS.com and across the CBS Audience Network, and 24/7 streaming video from inside the Big Brother house made available by CBS and RealNetworks. Companion program Big Brother: After Dark airs on Showtime 2. Big Brother is hosted by Julie Chen and executive produced by Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan for Fly on the Wall Entertainment, in association with Endemol USA.

Great news! I love this show. I hope they actually decide to do a fully all-stars edition next summer. This season started off pretty weak, but ended up turning into one of the best I can remember. Aside from a couple of bad casting choices (Jenn and Joe, specifically), they were smart to bring in the all-stars like Dan, Boogie and Britney, who (with newbies like Ian) turned it into a fun game.
Totally agree. I would love to see an All-Stars season again. There are too many amazing players (just like the NBA, MLB, etc) that are stars we would want to see playing the game again. I’d include a bunch from this summer — Ian, Dan, Boogie, Britney, for sure.
I’d also love to see a twist where another competition takes place at the Jury House — for a second cash prize.
And — I think they could even add a fourth episode each week. It’s really the best summer show (and deserves recognition in the Emmy competition show category).
Congrats to everyone who must work their asses off to produce this show. It’s an amazing feat, and I really don’t think it gets enough recognition.
But upgrade to HD already — it’s 2012 and you’re a major network show — there’s really no excuse…
I agree 100% The fans want access to the evicted houseguests! Block off a portion of the stage and make that the jury house – you can even charge extra for the online jury pass.
Agree
. Love Big Brother!! Hope next year is All Stars 2 as well
i dont think next year will be all stars as much as i would love that. Because i mean think about? They’re already casting newbie contestants for BB15. why would they be tryna cast this early in the game if cbs was planning on bringing back 12 veterans for a all star season?
Does this mean we’ll actually get it in HD finally?
Hopefully the 15th season will be all newbies and not people that have already won.
How can I be a contestant on the Big Brother show?
Does anybody know???
love the show but wish there were more of a mix of age in stade of the cookie cutter young people that you always have.cant wait untill your next show love the frist,
