Austin-based comedy collective Humordy made this Hollywood-centric video after Clint Eastwood’s Republican National Convention speech to an empty chair that was meant to represent President Obama:

I was hoping for humor, but after watching, my opinion is this ” comedy collective” needs to go into a different line of work. This was extremely boring and the farthest thing from funny I’ve seen in a long time.
Seems the confused old man can still play the fiddle.

Why would the *chair* sound like President Obama? I don’t get the concept.
Does my office chair sound like me? What about bus seats?
When I first clicked on this I thought it was going to be hilarious, but I couldn’t even make it through a minute of this disaster. It isn’t funny and what’s the point of making the chair talk with (a poor impersonation of) Obama’s voice? In that case wouldn’t it make more sense to have Obama himself giving the rebuttal?
This is what in Hollywood is called failing to deliver on the promise of your premise.
Oh hilarious! No wait, it sucked.
So, this is what passes for “humor” in Austin? Wow, maybe they can sigh up for humor classes at the local community college, this is just….sad.
And we were wondering why Clint’s movies are so bad lately. He did good movies like Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby, Flags of Our Fathers, Letters from Iwo Jima, Changeling. And became Mister Legendary Director. And then he did one bad movie after another. People thought that Invictus was a mistake. And then he did Hereafter. And people thought that it was second mistake. But then stupid J. Edgar was made. And now Clint stars in ridiculous and silly movie with Justin Timberlake… You can’t fall lower then that.
Clint simply should retire. He just looks stupid. That original video with chair was so embarrassing. Clint looked like a 110 years old man that can’t remember anything that he wanted to say. Was he always this way? He just needs to retire and stop embarrassing his legacy.

@Shy . that’s a matter of your opinion . Clint knows it’s time to hang up his boots and spurs . He retired last year , but the man is a good moviemaker , and he was called backed one last time . And it’s your view that his later movies can’t cut it , but try telling all his current fans that . What’s embarrasing anyway ?

I’ve been eagerly awaiting a slam dunk comedy response to Clint’s senile old man routine at the RNC Convention. This video barely scratches the surface of the comedy potential Clint graciously provided. Maybe SNL will step up to the challenge?
