In the CW’s first renewal of a freshman reality series in years, the network’s summer entries Oh Sit! and Breaking Pointe will return for second seasons. Neither has been a breakout but they have been steady, with Oh Sit! stronger on TV and the ballet-themed Breaking Pointe doing well digitally. The CW would not specify whether the two series will again be used in the summer or in-season.
Musical chair competition Oh Sit! is created/executive produced by Phil Gurin, Richard Joel and Deena Dill. The series is from The Gurin Co. and 405 Prods in association with Warner Horizon Television. Breaking Pointe, set behind the scenes of top ballet company Ballet West in Salt Lake City, is produced by BBC Worldwide Prods. Executive producers are Izzie Pick Ashcroft and Jane Tranter.
